MONSTER PLOT FINALE
how this works! ⬥ Event takes place late afternoon Friday, Feb. 12.

⬥ The monsters are in full force when, suddenly, things go pitch black.


⬥ A massive lightening strike hits the ground (characters may be injured by this).


⬥ The monsters, no matter what they are doing, fall and then disappear before your very eyes.


⬥ Feel free to react below.


⬥ I also added a "wrap up" OOC section. Feel free to use this to update on what your character is up to at the end of the plot.

FREDDY: was fighting monsters when it went dark. He was thrown off his game for a moment and suffered a hard blow to his ribs. The lightening hit the ground before he could get back up, but did not hit him. The monsters disappeared as his eyes adjusted to the dark. He thought he was imagining everything, aka, he thought he hit his head.

Thor is like yaaaassss, Thunder.

But also, he might do his best to channel it away from most people. It wont be 100% effective, but maybe less destructive than it might have been otherswise.

Wanda was thrown back by the lightning but okay.

Rogue was knocked out for a few minutes.

Tandy wasn't near it.

Susan wasn't too close, but saw and is a little bit freaked out.

Freya saw from a window and shielded the room to keep her son safe.

Steve: Thrown back but lived to tell the tale obviously. Also went to check on folks to see who needed assistance, etc. We all know who the boy scout is, okay?

Kate: Definitely got thrown back. Definitely has some bruises. Definitely going to complain about some singed pieces of hair and having to restring her bow.

TONY: Tony has been patrolling and fighting monsters. While he wants to officially retire, he has to admit it has been a little thrilling being back in the thick of it. However, he has two hurt kids so he isn't ready for anything like this to happen again any time soon. He is also pissed it messed with Pepper's birthday. Side note - he thinks Goodland needs an official mentor program for the younger heroes.

BETTY: Betty was hurt and in medical for a few days. She has mostly surface wounds, but hit her head, which required observation. She will eventually talk Bruce out of the Hulk.

FREDDY: Freddy is seeing the down side to being a hero. He never killed before now and it is taking a toll on him. He will need support going forward.

DRACO: Draco stayed close to the bunker, but did go out to help Belle. He stayed with her while she was hurt.

ERNIE: Ernie split his time between helping the kids in the bunker and fighting monsters. It has brought back memories of the war so he is not sleeping too well.

LIZZIE M: Lizzie's business was destroyed so she is none too happy, but she is grateful she didn't have to face any monsters this time.

TEDDY P: Teddy really did punch some monsters and his face proves it although he didn't get any life-threatening injuries.

CLAUDIA: She stayed in the bunker and tried to keep up spirits through art.

TORUNN: Torunn was in the fight, pausing only to sit with James when he first got hurt. She is living for this, although she hates seeing bystanders hurt.

HUGO: Hugo stayed close to the bunker except to visit Riri while she was hospitalized.

Sam Wilson: He's been pulling looong shifts thanks to medical stuff not being as physically fatiguing as active fighting and is pretty exhausted physically/mentally/emotionally. He'll probably crash for a good 16-18 hours to partially resolve the first but he'll be decidedly off for a little bit.

Laura Kinney: Fine apart from having slightly mixed feelings about James getting himself hurt. She's bad at anything that involves more than two emotions combined so she'll probably just ignore it and repress or something.

Aracely: She's ended up at about a 2 on the injury scale on account of how it's difficult to hurt someone who keeps turning into fire unless you get good/lucky timing and she's pretty resilient mentally speaking. She will bring people presents in their sick beds.

Storm: Tired despite trying to pace herself. I think I said (or maybe forgot to) she's got a job teaching this semester so she's going to need some downtime to de-stress for that and to fret over Kate when she finds out she's hurt.

Hannah Abbott: So so exhausted by the time this is all over. She'll keep going and take care of everyone but as soon as she's able, she's going to zonk out hard.

Lara Croft: Tired and annoyed, would've ended up going with magical healing to speed up the process. Lol. I'm very behind on her, but she'd be down for a couple of days, but by the end, she's fine.

✦ BROOKE MADDOX » Brooke remained safely inside as long as she could, she made sure Luke came home to rest as often as possible and had a good time worrying herself sick. She did get a lot of work done and narrowly avoided severe damage to her apartment when some of the monsters got inside.

✧ BUTTERCUP » Fighting things with her sisters, Buttercup protected all the zoo animals with Bubbles and Blossom. She's a bit tired and bashed up, but due to her powers that'll hardly last.

✦ CAROL DANVERS » Got smacked through a building, but America pulled her out with Wanda and Bucky's help, and Tony and Kara recharged her power levels, so she was back in the fight. Spent as much time with America bashing things, probably took out some monsters with Kara too. Covered America for a few supply runs.

✧ CLINT BARTON » Did okay through the monster woes, struck his head getting Nate out of the park, is still putting off going to the clinic about it at all; Nat will pester him when she finds out. Swelling will cause Clint to lose his sight round about Monday/Tuesday (a la the Blindspot plot), which will last a few days before getting healed.

✦ ELLIE PHIMISTER » Did a few supply runs, detonated a few times, but drains real quick after a few detonations. Spent time checking on Gwen, Teddy and Kara, made sure her girlfriend didn't get hurt.

✧ EMMA FROST » Kept her psychic grid up as long as possible, but dropped it after Remy shifted into his Deathseed personality while killing a bunch of monsters, she had to pull him back from that and used up most of her energy and power leaving both of them utterly exhausted.

✦ EMMA SWAN » Fished Derek out of a wrecked building, patched his wounds to let them heal and gave him a protective shield around his apartment to rest. Spent a lot of the time killing things, and covertly maintained a shield around Morgan and Ethan the entire time just in case. Loaned out her cave to August when the apartment building was breached. Will offer to fix things for people -without favours attached because she's feeling generous.

✧ JOAN WATSON » Worked shifts in the clinic and stopped up to see Elena and Damon several times while they took care of Arthur. Is tired but okay.

✦ LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR » Protected Chloe, made sure Laura and Trixie were okay and not out seeing the monsters. Some hellfire was used -is probably still burning until he remembers to put it out.

✧ PETER QUILL » Was saved by his girlfriend in the husk of a record store after being smacked around, broke his leg, sprained his knee and broke his wrist. Is not having a good time.

✦ RENO » Beat up some monsters, fought with Tifa (?) and protected bars. Because important. Is a little beat up but nothing a potion wouldn't fix.

✧ SANSA STARK » Stayed in the Bunker with Anne and Lady, investigated these podcast things and tried to help Anne with some technology stuff. Is ignoring the fact that people she cared about got hurt because she's not good at dealing with the trauma and refuses to process things.

✦ ST JOHN ALLERDYCE » Had some fun setting shit on fire with Yennefer (made a friend, on his own and everything), burned his hands a little from the constant and steady fire, but is healing quickly because it was fire. Got his hands wrapped and spent most of his time in his, Kate and Rogue's apartment after Kate got hurt.

HOPE is tired. And killing the monsters didn't give her the catharsis she was hoping for. She's going to sleep for a good long while, then do her best to distract herself. Friends and other injured people should expect beignets. Lots of them.

MAY had been hunkering down and trying to keep people calm until MJ got hurt. Armed with a big pokey stick she met up with Peter and MJ with just a few cuts and a ruined shirt.

ALLISON had started out trying to rumor the monsters with a megaphone. When that didn't work, she shifted to supply runs. She's concerned about her siblings but ready to help rebuild!

AMY BENDIX: Has been in Emma's cave with August for a few days. She'll probably be fiine staying there a couple more days just in case. Yep. She's going to have some trouble sleeping for a bit (nervous, dreams, waking up a lot) but eventually it'll fade with time.

ANGEL: He and Buffy most likely went out again at some point, but not hurt aside from very minor things. He's outside when things go dark and probably thinks it's a sign of another apocalypse coming. 🤷‍♀️ He'd help with clean up if anyone he knows needs it.

BUCKY BARNES: Bucky was primarily out during the evening/night hours (also other times too), perched up high and targeting monsters trying to breach the main entrance. He was outside when the lightning struck and would have been blown back from its force. He'll wake back up, shake it off, and go start cleaning up his gym/studio. He's trained to go off very little sleep, so he's tired but not to the point he's falling over. He'd check on friends, etc.

LAURA HOWLETT: Little miss slayer of the beasts. She was a fierce protector of her people, and stayed very close to them during the whole thing. It'll probably take her a few days to fully come down from her high alert soldier mode, but once she does, she'll enjoy lots of breakfast carbs, chocolate milk, and a nap.

NEAL CAFFREY: He stayed secure in his apartment as much as he could. He'll discard the gun he kept on him very quickly after its confirmed the monsters are gone and will commence on a pilfering walkabout of the city.

QUENTIN COLDWATER: Quentin was injured semi early on, but was partly healed. He wouldn't have gone out on his own anymore, but probably still tried to help when and where he could with his magic, defensive or offensive. He'll check out the Houdini shop to help patch things up there but can help with other patching too.

DAMON — Laid low with Elena, the bb, and Arthur. Eventually, Bon and Enzo joined up. He's frustrated he can't protect everyone the way he used to, and hasn't felt that frustration in a really long time. Can't help it at the moment, especially 'cause Elena got so upset. ;.; He just wants his not!waifu to feel safe and happy.

DIANA — Worried about Steve namely at the moment. After the dust settles, she'll be checking on her roomies, but then focusing on Steve. ;| She handled the fighting well, monsters are her speed, so she's not wiped out again. Diana felt the lightning bolt, but she was a'ite. For she is Diana.

KARA — Stuck close to Carol after helping her out, apart from checking on Nate. She had her ears peeled for him. She's been going around post-monsters cleaning up debris and all else.

GERALT — He was the Salvatore-Gilbert flat guarddog. He protected the hallway the entire time, used lotsa potions to keep him awake. Once Yen tapped out, he tagged into the fray and went postal 'cause the monsters made his daughter figure sad. He's now scooped Yen up and taken her home to theirs.

TEN — Got into hijinks with Rose, but all's well. He'll happily help along tidying things back up.

TIFA — After she found Betty, Tifa stuck close to medical to help guard it. Def fought shit with Reno. She's making him help cleanup. (Got you covered with those potions.)

PETE — Pete whisked Kate away after carving a monster head off of her arm. Once she woke up, he left and went right into the fray until she got him to come back. They workin' through some thangs.

CHARLES — Guarding Lady Margaery like a h a w k in his apartment. As she goes, so goes his nation.

Sherlock — Overheard Elizabeth running from monsters in the halls, so stepped out and brought her into his place with Enola. They spent the entire time bickering, playing Chess, and discussing smart people things. He thinks he won't be helping with the cleanup.

BUFFY — Got hurt eventually, but Angel got her out of harm's way with his big ol' hero hair. She recovered and definitely went back out to slay s'more.

Bruce Banner: Uh. Someone wanna go get him? Okay but for real, Hulk has been doing his Hulk thing, basically just smashing monsters into any available surface. Sounds great! Except this is post Infinity War Hulk so feck if I know what he's up to mentally. Bruce is definitely going to have trouble getting back out. Having Betty is going to help that, thank god, cause I cannot play Hulk long term, Tony would have to invent him a tablet or something for his great big fingers and I'm not even sure he knows how to read or write.

Frigga: Man, that bunker was locked down TIGHT. And not just the kids. You showed up for protection, you've got Magic Momma watching out for you.

Rose Tyler: She's pretty chill, actually. She's missed being in the middle of Horrible Things. She's got her ridiculous man, a new job with her awesome friend and Riri is going to be okay so that's important!

Steeb Steve Trevor: In today's adventures of, "does your character have PTSD? Let's find out!" APPARENTLY HE'S A GIANT WRECK AND I WAS UNAWARE. So obviously he's a guilt filled mess over Arya, he definitely feels like he's let Diana down, and oh right, war flashbacks are neat! He'll be fine. Give him a week or so. 1918 didn't exactly speak highly to mental health awareness...

Ben Hargreeves: I had every intention of pulling out The Horror. We can still say I did if anyone wants to hand wave anything. My poor boy kinda got overlooked. I'm sorry, Benny, I love you lots.

Stacey McGill: LOLOLOL she's like OH NO THANK YOU and did her homework. And worried about Aracely and Miles and the other superfighter kids. Scolded Lyra for running off. Did more homework, probably for fun, because she's a psycho.

Teddy Lupin: Probably complained that he could help but son, you are not some master wizard yet. You are a baby. With no wand. Also scolded Lyra for running off - sorry, his dad was a Prefect and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Matt Murdock: Still thinks his secret identity is mostly in check (lolol) but I so can't keep that up so hopefully his encounter with Daisy will fix this. Is also going to have to ask the Entity for the Daredevil suit if we're gonna do this again cause he's all kinds of beat up internally now. Has literally just been running around fighting things and saving people in a sweatsuit and a scarf over his face cause it be like that sometimes.

I THINK THAT IS ALL but if you want plots / post-nonsense threads / additional hand waving, please advise!

★ AUGUST BOOTH August has been in Emma's cave with Amy for a few days. He's not much of a fighter at all, so this was the only solution he could come up with to "protect" his "sister". Thankfully his other sister is pretty much immortal so he didn't have to worry about her too much (even though he totally did). He'll stay in the cave with Amy until she feels comfortable leaving again.

☆ BONNIE BENNETT Bonnie was knocking on death's door for the third time in her life before Enzo got to her and gave her his blood. She's all better physically and a little bit better mentally now that she's actually told Enzo why she doesn't want to have children. She's sticking close to home and spending time with her people.

★ BUBBLES Bubbles kicked major butt and took major monster names while defending the zoo with her sisters. She's a little scratched up and is taking the longest nap ever after a bunch of cake.

☆ ELENA GILBERT Elena laid low with Damon, Genevieve, and Arthur with Geralt guarding their door. Almost losing Bonnie again really shook her up, and she cried on her dad's Geralt's shoulder before curling up with Damon and the kids. She's just relieved that everyone she loves is okay.

★ ELIZABETH BENNET Lizzy was attempting to get to the bunker when she was RUDELY yanked into Sherlock and Enola's apartment. She's a good roommate and checked in with her new bestie Matt while learning to play chess with that humourless poppycock Sherlock. Lots of bickering and doting over Enola happened. She plans to check on Neal and she SUPPOSES she will thank Holmes for his "hospitality".

☆ ENOLA HOLMES Despite the terror outside and being very curious, she was a good sister and listened to her brother when he demanded she remain behind closed doors. She was delighted to have Lizzy in their company and munched on popcorn while watching the two of them argue relentlessly. Cue her lowkey/highkey telling Joan that she's found her brother's future wife.

★ GWEN POOLE SLICE-N-DICE BABY! Gwen slayed so much monster a$$ while making sure Ellie, Teddy, Freddy, Kara, and Oliver were all right as rain. Time to cuddle up on the couch with her cute girlfriend and a million plush and binge Netflix.

☆ KATE PRYDE Kate got overtired and forgot to phase her arm out of a monster head. She then realized she was too tired to phase and wound up passed out in a liquor store with the head attached to her arm. She nearly became a one-armed pirate, but Pete managed to get her out of it and carried her home. Between the exhaustion, a few blows to the head, a fucked arm, and her already messy mental state? John had his new friend Yennefer place her in a night of healing sleep. She awoke all better but Pete was an idiot and tried to end things. Sobriety can do wonders for talking shit out (who knew right?) so, they are doing just that and acknowledging their relationship now. She's currently being a good little sister to John and worrying about her wife Emma.

★ LILA BARTON After helping Quentin with a hoard of monsters, Lila spent her time worried af about her brother while he was missing. She big mad but is getting over it...until she realizes her dad is losing his sight. After this she needs an extended staycation with Oliver.

☆ MARGAERY TYRELL Margaery got knocked out in the halls of the villa and was rescued by her beloved Lord Suffolk. Charles has been watching over her.

★ MORGAN STARK Morgan noped right out of this shit and opted to stay with Nate and watch over Ethan. Although she worried for her friends/family- threatening to kick their ass if they got hurt, she felt relatively safe. She's still kicking herself for leaving Nate alone for even a minute and is probably going to be unconsciously clingy for a bit. She can't wait to have a little more peace of mind when she sees Emma. If anyone wants a hug? Now is the time. Don't miss your window.

Kate Bishop: HO.LY. CRAP. It has been a very long two weeks indeed. What a way to roll into the city, am I right? Anyway. Kate is kind of reeling for a few reasons because that was intense but also kind of exciting? She's pretty used to crazy things happening at any and all times of the day, but she's tired. She's only human after all. Despite that, Kate didn't worry much about herself and very much about others.
    Feel Free to Assume & Mention:
  • Kate helping out either in passing or a brief team-up in the city or in the building
  • Kate restocking emergency kits and offering water, band-aids, and bags of frozen peas
  • Shooting monsters like a champ and maybe enjoying it a bit too much
I'm down if anyone wants to have anything specific with Kate. I have a thread I'm working on with Kate and Nat as well. All in all, Kate likes playing hero even if she ends up with a lot of cuts, bruises, and scars at the end of the day. She's [a] Hawkeye after all.

Steve Rogers: These two weeks weren't the best for Steve. He'd have been decent if James hadn't gotten himself hurt. That didn't bode well with him as Steve is still processing the idea of having a son. With Nat no less. In any case, he's been in and out of Medical to check in on him (I'm going to tag into the Medical thread shortly!) while also protecting the city and everyone else. Along with processing the idea of a son, Steve's got some other things troubling him after he ended up here when he left to return the stones.
    Feel Free to Assume & Mention:
  • Steve attempting to be somewhat of a leader when necessary
  • Steve doing some clean-up while also beating up monsters because rude
  • Steve coming and going from Medical at all hours because sleep is a myth
I'll glad toss Steve into clean-up and anything else he can do to help get things back in order as soon as possible.

Elijah: Has been fighting monsters along side his niece, is tired, exhausted, dirty, and his SUIT IS TRASHED and he's a tad cranky

Maze: Fought valiantly. Is pissed her head for the girls just went poof before her eyes

Enzo: Is with Bonnie hunkered down with Damon and Elena, fussing over Bonnie and still wanting to wreck havoc on the world

Arya: Going stir crazy. Someone heal her. Heeeeeal heeeeeer

  • Pepper: Pepper spent way more hours than she should delegating tasks and helping people connect and reporting damages and rescues as best she can. Obviously the scale of damage and stuff made that pretty impossible in the later days. She stayed long hours in the Industries, mostly locked down in a little bunker with computers. She's probably crabby and exhausted. The only time she took a break short of sleeping was when James got hurt and she went to see him.

  • Colin Colin has been having panic attacks since this whole thing started. He basically went to where ever all the other people went to be safe, and went borderline catatonic. He mostly just kept to himself, cuddled his dog, and had pretty awful flashbacks to the war and got super afraid that he was going to die. Because thats what happened last time he was expected to fight.

  • Mary Mary doesn't enjoy being a superhero, but she did do so to make sure that everyone had supplies, and had Freddy constantly check in with her even though she knows they are basically invincible. She mostly did her best to assist Hannah and Sam in Medical.

  • Thor Thor did a lot of fighting and patroling. He took the shifts that no one really wanted. Being a god, he probably is a lot less exhausted than the others, so he'll be happy to help with rebuilding and such. At the end, when the lightening was hitting, Thor did his best to channel it to himself, so that as few people as possible would be hurt.

    JAMES -- He is so injured. Like really, this will take a long time to get him up to his normal shit, which will frustrate the hell out of him. It'll be some weird angsty thing. It'll also force him to rely more on other people.

    LYRA -- She wants to jump back into her "warrior training" so, anyone who wants to train a baby hulk who is surprisingly tough, she will be glad to do so.

    Riri -- she is feeling better, but not 100%. She wants to show Hugo how much he means to her, so she has plans. But she's going to be helping with the rebuilding and stuff as well as fixing her suit.

    KLAUS -- he is exhausted. This is really probably the most he's used his powers continuously, and he's probably having some Nam flashes, but he's pushed through it okay.

    Wanda is tired but is going to jump in to start helping to rebuild and will help feed people who need it

    Freya will offer help with healing potions and such and rebuilding

    Rogue's okay, a few minor injuries from today including a concussion, but she'll heal

    Tandy's okay, and had been doing a fair amount of fighting without drawing attention to herself

    Susan will want to help people and will work on helping with rebuilding and feeding people.

    AMERICA - fought with carol, helped with supplies, punched monsters into the moon (sorta)

    CHLOE - helped with supply runs, getting people to safety and stuck close to Lucifer while worrying about trix and laura (probably checked on them way too much)

    DEREK - got smooshed by a building, got saved, healed up, fought monsters. slept.

    NATHANIEL - gave everyone a heart attack, got a dog, is grounded for life.

    NEBULA - was living her whole fucking life. helped gamora save her idiot and will be laughing at him forever.

    REMY - spent most of the time protecting emma, eventually sank into his deathseed personality and wiped out a small army of monsters while emma diamond'ed up. promptly coaxed back and passed out, slept for three days wrapped around his girlfriend.
