James wanted to roll over and go back to bed, but his sisters voice cut through the fog. He didn’t want his sister to see him like that, he knew how hard it would be if the tables were turned. He would be torn between wanting to avenge her and wanting to protect her. With his left hand, he rubbed at his eyes, trying to get them to stay open. He shifted slightly to look at her, trying to keep the grimace of moving his muscles off of his face.
“Ha. You’ve tried before and failed.” He said, sticking his tongue out, his voice didn’t have the typical bark in it. He reached out to Torunn, just touching her arm lightly, as if proof that he were there.
“I’ll be out of here in no time and besting your beasty count.”
