June 21 | Pizza Party!!!

everyone and anyone!
Pizza!

21 June - 4pm to late! | Apt 6-A

Doors wide open, room for as many want to filter into the flat, Alicia Spinnet along with the help of Peter Parker and Roger Davies and a few others are set up for a pizza party! Loads of different kinds of pizzas keep filtering out of the kitchen.

There are other snacks, some salads and of course loads of beverages ranging from fantastic selection of wines to sodas to anything else you can imagine!

Stay for as long as you like, or drop in for just a slice!

A SELECTION OF THE PIZZAS

Pizza Margherita - San marzano tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil
Diavola - sauce, smoked mozzarella, pepperoni, basil, chili flakes
Mozzarella, tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, then sprinkled with crushed red pepper, black olives, and topped with italian sausage
Classic pepperoni
sopressata & jalapeno
calabrian chiles & italian sausage
Mozzarella & Pesto & Chicken
prosciutto & arugula
Anything you can think of!
Dessert or savory!

"Ah," he started and ducked his head a bit, scratching behind his neck. It was hard to know how people from other worlds might react to finding out some of his story or that he was a touch older than he looked. Though, he figured it wouldn't take long for word to spread. Not just about him, but about everyone showing up to the city. "Long enough for nostalgia to make me remember them as better than they actually were."

He nodded. "Sure. It's the least I can do." He'd only brought a pack of drinks, so at least he could help in some way.

"Has being here set in at all yet for you?"

"A bit cryptic of an answer," she commented, curiosity filling her expression. Alicia always wanted to know more when someone was cryptic but she was going to try her best not to be too pushy about it.

Turning she pulled the pizza out she slid it off the pan and onto a cutting board, cutting it into six pieces she motioned for him to grab whatever one he wanted as she put the pan with the others.

"Not sure," she admitted. "Seems a bit unreal still. I guess just trying to go along with the flow as best I can," she selected a slice herself and took a small bite. "How about you? Settling into this place?"

When she didn't press, he didn't expand on his answer yet, cryptic or not. He was good at holding his cards close to his chest, though, he was having a good time and had managed to let his guard down a little since he'd been here.

He used his good hand to pick up a piece of the pizza. He wasn't hiding the metal one, but he still had the habit of using his normal hand for ordinary tasks most of the time.

"About the same, I guess. I don't know if I've gone with the flow exactly since I've walked the city multiple times trying to find a way out, but I think I've finally accepted that we're not able to leave on our own."

There were a number of questions popping up in her head about this bloke that she wanted to ask, but she decided it was probably best not to.

"I've tried a few things to get out, but nothing seems to work. A bit odd to lock everyone on an island that looks like a real place." She shrugged.

"I'd like to think we are here for more than just finding jobs and being entertainment, but there doesn't seem to a lot of answers."

"It feels strange being in a city that seems familiar but is still a lot different than what I remember." He didn't even mean the differences that naturally occurred over time. After he defected from HYDRA, Bucky had visited the city briefly before completely going off the map. He'd wanted to find out if visiting his hometown would have any affect on his memories. It hadn't - at least not at the time.

"I can't believe that we'd be here just for that. It has to be something more, but my guess we're on a need-to-know basis right now."

He took a bite of the slice of pizza, careful not to burn himself since it had just come out of the oven. It was good, really good, and he had to admit that she rivaled even some of the best New York pizza shoppes. He held up the slice before taking another bite. "This one is good, too."

"What else is different about it?" Alicia wanted to know. She didn't have too much experience with the city other than a few trips here and there for friendlies or qualifier matches.

"I'd hope we are here for more, but so far seems to be about the only bit we get to know," she frowned just slightly as her mind went in a few different directions of what it could be. She didn't say the darker thought she had. She was pretty sure that wasn't a good hey nice to meet you sort of conversation.

Grinning, she bowed her head slightly. "Thank you!" She smirked. "So, how does it truly stack up to Brooklyn, without the nostalgia aspect!"

"The layout of the city is much different. Certain buildings are in their right place, but with no other locations for housing, that makes it a lot different. And it feels really strange not being able to leave the island. I grew up in the city, but I didn't spend too much time in Manhattan at the time, especially when I was younger."

Manhattan was the place most people thought of when they thought of New York City, but for him, it was such more than that.

Bucky smiled." Nostalgia aside, I think you've got the beat." He finished off his slice and took a sip of water." Are all of your meals this good, and do they all turn into parties?"

"I suppose it has that weird almost home feel but not really?" She asked before adding. "It's weird some of the missing aspects of the city," she agreed. "Of well, any city it'd be a bit weird to all of a sudden not have hotels or flats. I can't imagine what Glasgow or London would look like."

Grinning, she laughed softly. "Told you!" She blushed slightly. She wasn't going to say it but hearing it was really nice.

"Usually, I don't for parties this massive, but yeah, food is usually good, are you angling to see what else free food you might get?" She teased.

"Yes, it's the not really part that is almost the most unnerving. It wouldn't feel as strange being in a completely unfamiliar place." Home but not quite home. He knew that this was technically a place with a different name, but it was deceptively similar.

Bucky shrugged. "Maybe. A guy's gotta eat," he said lightly. "Not that you have to host a party this extensive anytime you'd like to prove to me that your cooking is better than Brooklyn's best."

He was teasing a little, but it was true all the same. After taking another sip of his drink, he caught on to something she'd said. "Is that where you're from? Glasgow or London?"

Nodding, Alicia could understand that. "I suppose that strange feeling of something familiar when, in reality, it is completely different doesn't help." She ventured.

Laughing she nodded her head. "You're vying for dinner invitations, aren't you?" She teased, although really Alicia was happy to have more people around for dinner than less. "Well, you're welcome anytime." Alicia when she cooked always tended to make too much and she had feeling it would be a good way of building a solid base of people here.

"Actually, Bath, England and Tuscany. I grew up between the two, moved to Glasgow, or well, just outside of it, when I started with the Magpies."

"It doesn't hurt to know someone who can help make sure you don't go hungry," Bucky said playfully. Something about the evening helped him feel a little more easy. Those moments of his old self would come out every now and again, but it wasn't terribly often. He'd been so used to keeping a low profile and staying on guard. It was almost nice to be in a place where the majority of people didn't know who he was or what he'd done in his past. Not even Sam knew.

"I've been to England a couple of times." He paused, nearly adding on 'for work,' but he had the feeling he would have gotten more questions about what he did and decided to avoid that for now. "Mostly the London area, but they were quick visits at the time."

Finishing off his glass or water, he frowned. "Magpies?"

"I guess you're in luck," she smirked turning only to make sure the oven was turned off, she was done making pizza for the night, finally. Alicia couldn't help but feel more and more curious about this bloke.

"Work take you to London?" She asked. "Usually quick trips have something to do with work." At least that had been her experience, but her work trips were very different from most other types of works.

Smirking she nodded. "The team I played for," her eyes got a little wistful. "It'll be weird not playing a sport for a living here."

"It did, yes," he said and thought about how to go on. She was bound to ask more questions, and he didn't want to be rude by cutting her off completely. Explaining he was a brainwashed assassin wasn't usually the best tidbit of his life to use during a first conversation with someone that didn't already know him.

"It's hard to explain, but I guess you could say I was involved in government contract work. Surveillance, intel, and other things sometimes." It was as close to the real truth as he probably could get without going into more detail.

He nodded. "Ah. I've heard a few people here talking about the sports from your world. It sounds like it was exciting."

Tilting her head, she felt like there was a lot more to his story than just government work and spycraft, which is what it sounded like to her but it did feel like there was more to it.

"Sounds like a story," she did her best not to try and press for more questions. "Maybe I'll get it out of you someday," she added. "And I promise it'll be over wine and good food." Yeah, she wanted to know more.

Laughing, she nodded. "Yup, it was exhilarating. I think I'll have to find other ways to stay in shape here. It's easy when it is part of your job."

"I have prior military experience, so in a way, I already had some training for it." He did have previous experience in gathering intel and fighting, but it had just come about in the worst way possible.

"I've got a few of those," he said with a slight smirk. "Stories." Considering her for a moment, he nodded. "Good food and wine might help with that." Though it was obvious she was curious, she wasn't pressing or pushing, so there was something about Alicia that made Bucky feel that her reaction to his real history wouldn't be the worst imaginable as he often thought might happen when talking to people.

"I was used to keeping up with my conditioning regularly, so I know what you mean. So far I've mostly taken to running early in the mornings before most people have woken up. You're welcome to join me sometime."

Alicia didn't need to ask if he'd seen war. There was something about him that told her the answer to that was yes. "What war?" She asked she didn't know a lot about Muggle wars, but the words were out of her mouth before she could stop herself.

"I guess I'll just have to supply you with food and wine," she smiled, nodding her head. Pick a night," she added. There was a lot to figure out about this place but getting to know new people seemed like the right step.

Thinking about it for a moment, she tilted her head. "And how early is early?" She knew the answer was yes to joining him, but given how late the night was already she wasn't sure she'd be up for getting up early the following morning.

Well, that was a complicated question. What war? He'd been a part of several, but he assumed she meant which one he'd been a part of during his time in the service. "I served in World War Two," he said honestly rather than dancing around the question. He smiled a little. "I look good for my age."

Bucky started to help her collect some of the dishes as they began the clean up process. "Next week sometime? You'll be the one doing the cooking, so I'm open to whatever may be easiest for you."

"Usually around 6 most mornings. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. Getting up early has become a habit, and it's a lot cooler before the sun is up fully."

"And how old are you?" It was the only logical question to ask, seeing as it seemed he was different from what she'd read and heard about the era, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

"Tuesday?" She tossed out a random day. She didn't really know. Alicia could usually figure out food quickly though.

"6 isn't bad, not sure I'm up for it tomorrow, but any other morning."

"A little over 100," he said. Bucky wasn't even sure how old he was supposed to be at this point. He'd been put on ice so many times and then there was the entire five years he'd missed even though the world had still moved on without everyone who had been dusted. And now he's traveled through time and space to whatever world this was.

"The how and why is part of one of those stories we can get to later." He nodded. "On Tuesday."

Even now, Bucky found himself looking forward to it even if he didn't know how to explain to someone his real history who wasn't familiar with his world. It was complicated, but most stories were.

"I think you deserve a day to sleep in after cooking for the entire group tonight."

Alicia tilted her head in a little surprise and started to study his face. "I don't know," she said after a moment. "It looks like the spot just to the right of your left eye is reaching at least 125." She smiled, alright, there was a lot more she wanted to ask him, but she also wasn't sure how much he'd want to tell her.

"I'm looking forward to Tuesday." She told him, meaning every word of it.

"I could use a bit of a lay in tomorrow," she agreed.

"Damn," He said, faking a look of disappointment. "I thought I'd gotten that spot taken care of last year." The look didn't last long, though, and the hint of a smile returned soon enough.

"Me too," he agreed. He was even if he'd have several says to worry about how to explain his life. Then again, she was from a world of magic and other supernatural creatures he had never seen. It was likely that it might surprise her less than he thought.

"Let's get these dishes cleaned up then so you can get there eventually, yeah?"
