Luke was intrigued by this place. There were so many interesting people to meet and talk too. He was therefore more than happy to meet Rey. He was curious as to why she would be wanting to meet him and why he was supposedly known by everyone in the Galaxy. Surely the Rebellion hadn't made that big a wave? Sure he'd destroyed one Death Star and killed the Emperor with Vader's help so you know that was a big thing but he didn't think it was that big a thing, he was just one person out of many who had brought down the Empire. Hell the Empire still wasn't brought down, they had a lot of work to go even though its two leaders were dead. He would have put more down to Wedge, Leia, Mon Mothma and the other leaders of the Rebellion. Wedge being the only person to survive the attacks on both Death Stars as a member of Rogue Squadron.

Arriving at the coffee shop that he had suggested he secured the two of them a table before messaging Rey to let her know that he was there and which table he was at. While he waiting he flicked through the menu just to get a feel for what there was. There was so many food and drink options that were new here that he just wanted to try everything at least once.

She really couldn’t believe it. Luke Skywalker was here? Not that it really mattered the way it most needed to, here she shouldn’t take him to the Resistance, and to Leia. Here it made no difference to stopping the First Order or saving the Galaxy.

But Rey still wanted to meet him, the man that she had thought was merely a myth - at least that’s how the stories she’d been told, by weary traders passing by her desolate world had seemed. Because how could one man destroy the Death Star with a single shot? Defeat the Emperor. Fight with a weapon, a laser sword she’d certainly never seen the likes of, and wield a power that some called The Force.

They all seemed tales too impossible to be real. But they had been real; the visions the lightsaber had given her, the ..whatever it was that had awoken within her. She needed to know what it was.

She’d come so close. He’d been standing before her, aged but grand in his robes, and she’d held out the lightsaber for him to take - she’d merely blinked and appeared here.

It took Rey a little while to navigate her way, to find the address Luke had provided her with - but he’d given her enough to work with. Arriving Rey was still wearing what she’d arrived in, the quarterstaff that hung across her back clattering and clunking in the doorway as she walked in. Then she looked around ..she couldn’t see him.

There was ..a young man at the table Luke had told her to go, and she walked over, completely aware she was staring at him, staring as though she saw a glimmer of something she recognised in the man only a matter of years older than she was. “Luke?” She asked softly, looking shocked as she simply stood by the table, not sitting.

Luke had sensed a presence strong in the force approaching him and he assumed that it would be Rey. Hearing his name, he assumed he had been correct. Looking up, he saw a girl a few years younger than him. Perhaps the age he was when he left Tattooine with Ben Kenobi, which felt like a life time ago.

"Hi, you must be Rey," he said with a smile indicating the seat across from him. "It's good to meet you. Did you have any problems finding this place?" he asked curiously. He had chosen a place close to the apartments that he had found the other day and liked. It didn't seem to be one of those chain restaurants called Starbucks that seemed to be very popular from what he had seen though had yet to try.

“It’s good to meet you too.” She said, to stop herself from simply standing there and staring, not knowing what to say. So, she sat down slowly, removing her staff and propping it against the table, close to her. “I’ve never seen a city like this- the buildings are so tall, and there’s so many of them.” But she’d found it, he’d given her the name, as well as the location and it was hard to miss.

She didn’t know where to start, ask him how it was possible, but she sort of knew, there’d been talk of parallel worlds, different timelines. “There’s a lot to learn about this world- isn’t there?” She noted, softly.

Luke nodded. He had been fairly overwhelmed too by the size of the city when he had arrived too. "It's a lot like how I imagine Coroscunt would be," he admitted. He'd yet to actually make it to the Captial of the Galaxy but he would eventually. He really wanted to see what it was like and to perhaps explore the old Jedi Temple if it was still standing, to see what he could find.

"There is. I've been trying to learn about the culture as well as the food and everything but it is a lot to take in. Some people have been incredibly helpful so far for which I'm thankful for. I still feel like I'm constantly drowning in information though," he admitted.

Rey nodded looking equally wary, overwhelmed in a manner. Rey had only lived in one place, but it was there she’d learned how quickly she needed to adapt, and she’d do the same here too. “What made you pick this place?” She wondered, if it was part of adapting to the world. She supposed it was a venue to eat and drink; given those around their table were sipping from cups, or snacking as they sat, but it wasn't like the strange curious vibe at Maz's. “It smells amazing.” Warm, enticing smells of foods and drinks she’d never encountered before.

She didn’t have any credits yet though, but perhaps she’d come back when she did.

Rey shifted her bag into her lap, nervous, uncertain what to say. “There seems to be a lot of people here from our galaxy.” She noted, huffing out a breath. “Han Solo, Leia- ..their children are here too.”
