The gardens had never exactly been abandoned since Storm had arrived in Goodland, but she couldn't help but feel the announcement that the woman who'd set them up to begin with had returned represented a strange sort of loss, as though her ownership took something away from those who'd been taking care of it in the meantime. It was ridiculous, really, and she doubted anyone else she'd seen up there before would have said the same thing, but still every time she came up to the roof and didn't see an unfamiliar witch she felt a guilty twinge of relief. Probably she just missed having her own. She'd been spoiled, especially in Wakanda, and now she was left with two public gardens she had almost no control over and the potted plants she'd collected in her room.
One thing was certain, there wasn't anything that needed doing here tonight. She moved slowly through the rows, looking out for any signs of ill health, but as the day cooled they were even recovering from the usual heat-related wilting that tended to show up during the afternoon. Almost without thinking, she pulled a bit more of a breeze over, letting the air shift leaves and flowers around. It caught her hair a bit, too, and for a moment she was too busy sweeping it back out of her face to realise she was coming up on someone. "Sorry." The breeze disappeared as suddenly as it had arrived. "I like to make sure they get air movement, but I usually do it when no one's here."
