Birthday Party & Birthday Dinner: August 8th & August 10th









HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PETER!
RESOURCES Totonno Pizzeria Napolitana SUGAR FACTORY
Setting Saturday, August 8th: Goodland laser tag & trampoline place & movie theatre

Monday, August 10th: Thai restaurant

Aesthetics
PLOT Peter requested a party for his family and friends on Saturday, August 8th. The party takes place at a Sky Zone type place so think laser tag and trampolines. Pizza was catered. Wanda provided cupcakes. Attendees later moved on to watch a movie at an AMC type theatre. It was very come and go as you please and started in the afternoon around 2pm.

Peter also requested a smaller, family focused dinner on his actual birthday, Monday, August 10th, at a local Thai restaurant. There was dinner, cake, and birthday hats for everyone to wear.

Emma D, Hope S, Tandy, and Wanda all came Saturday, and like said above Wanda brought cupcakes for everyone. The first three gave him gifts then, I can't think of what right now, but definitely awesome stuff that you can pick :D Emma came for the movies mainly, Tandy came for the whole day, and Hope did a little of each :)

:D Emma and Tandy and Wanda got hugs. They all got thank yous. He did his best to spend time with everyone so he spent some time with each of them and chatted with them to the best of his abilities.

May was there and did a lot of supervising, making sure things went smoothly for everyone. She did have some fun but mostly was content to make sure Peter and his friends were having a good time.

Hope also went, showing up after she left Aracely's party. Had maybe too much fun with laser tag and trampolines, was almost tempted into buying a membership. And stayed for at least one movie and brought him a present that we'll talk about because I am tired.

Sam, Laura, Miles and Angela all turned up at some point. Most of them are shit at gifts and Angela doesn't do birthday presents at all. Miles did some cool spider-themed art print or something, Sam and Laura went with gift cards. I think Miles was only there for a bit at the trampoline place, the others probably stayed for the movie as well.

Peter's good with gift cards lol He thanked them all for coming and for presents. Probably was more awkward than necessary with Sam and Angela cause adults and what not lol (nvm that he's kind of an adult now too) Thanked Miles for the art print thing and chatted him and Laura up a little to see how they were doing. Overall friendly with all of them :D

Miles maaaay also have cheated at laser tag with his camouflage powers lol.

Technically Laura's kind of an adult too so that's okay she agrees it doesn't count because Sam and Angela are old. (I'm pretty sure Sam's about to turn 40!) Sam at least is moderately okay with teenagers. Angela... is trying her best. haha.

Eeehhh like 18 and 19 aren't ADULT adults. But it's really nice Sam came and hung out despite the babysitting! ♥ LBR bigger kids are easier than the baby kids LOL Aw Angela. Peter did appreciate her coming though and would have tried to talk with her at least a little bit! He doesn't know wtf to say but he'd try!

MJ is the only one of mine invited to the family dinner and of course she was there!

Peter thanked them for coming and for any gifts and MJ and Rose at least got hugs (he doesn't want to overstep the hug boundary with everyone lol). He made sure to chat to them all at least a little bit. Made sure they were all having fun and what not. :D

Darcy made sure that there were plenty of the Required SkyZone Socks ready (and free of charge!) for Peter's party. She even left a special hat for him.

Peter gave her a hug and thanked her for coming and did what he could to make sure she felt included! He's also not sure of himself in a group at times so he gets it. It's not the same, but he can understand the general feeling. He'd have chatted with her too and made sure she was good and enjoying herself and everything :D

Wanda was there Monday and gave him his gift then - a handmade blanket for when winter comes, and a lighter throw he can use in the fall. She stayed for the whole meal.

May showed up at dinner, duh. She left him his presents in the morning so nothing at dinner, but she happily wore the hat and chowed down. She had like one glass of not-even-that-strong alcohol and had to excuse herself for a bit after dessert because she was having a lot of feels about Peter growing up.

Kids are hard to shop for even if I think Peter would probably be pretty easy overall cause he's just like OMG THANK YOU BIG SMILES for most things lol BUT Steve got a thank you and a hug for the gift card and for coming.
