She took the fall, rolling backwards and up onto her toes. She didn't waste time, pushing right off the ground to get in close to exchange strikes with him. She was as quick footed as ever, light on her feet and comfortable.
"I don't think you're failing - though in this place I have a hard time figuring out what that would even mean'" she knew, and sighed even as she fought with him. "It matters to your daughter, here. Now. We can't change the past, maybe we can't change the future, but you can handle the now."
She smiled even as she tried to punch him in the face. "I'm glad you get the chance here to know her."
