"Quentin Beck was the ringleader." That name alone should have cued Tony in to what sort of madness was at work. "Took his holographic framework to a whole new level. I think you'd have been impressed with what they came up with if you didn't want to kill them first."
Happy still wasn't entirely clear on Fury's uselessness during the whole affair. Or why none of the other Avengers had been free to give Peter a hand. For all he knew, it was some sort of test. Some hoops the one-eyed spy was making Peter jump through before he would bring him onto his crew. He could always ask Fury about it, but the guy still scared him a little.
"Peter pulled the plug on the whole thing. In a suit he made in the back of the jet." Happy smiled a little at the memory. In that moment, he had felt like Tony was there, and now thanks to some mysterious entity, he really was. "You'd be proud of him. I know that you are, but..." There was something different about a Peter with Tony and one without.
