Who: Liz and Open to Multiples
What: She is welcoming vistors.
Where: 4-A
When: Saturday and Sunday
Warning: Shouldn't be any.

It had been a hell of a week for Liz. It had been great feeling so happy again but it has also felt so wrong because inside she was the opposite. She was a mess and she wanted to scream to be upset about the injustice of Max, Michael and Alex being taken away from her. She wanted to cry but she couldn't and it was the most frustrating thing she'd ever experienced. The day the happiness wore off and it all hit her again, she couldn't get out of bed. The next day being Valentine's Day made it even worse for her because it would have been her first one with Max had the Entity not sent him home to die bringing back her sister. When she wasn't awake looking at pictures of them together, she was crying herself to sleep while smelling his pillow. It had been a rough day for her.

It took her a few days to venture out of her room to retrieve the Galentine and Valentine's Day gifts left for her outside her apartment door. Those perked her up a little bit and she made her way over to the book nook she had installed a few months ago as a Christmas present to Max. She and Lizzie had come up with the design together. What once housed Max's books was now as a shrine to those that were not there with her; Max, Rosa, Michael, and Alex. There are pictures of them along with little trinkets she'd found all over Goodland that made her think of them, and some books she'd gotten Max for Christmas. He's managed to go through some of them before he left while others were untouched. It was also where she housed the souvenirs she'd gotten from all the places the Entity liked to take them. She'd always wanted to travel and looking at the reminder that she could here made her happy. It was just too bad that Max wasn't there to travel with her.

Liz spent the weekend curled up in the book nook, drinking multiple cups of Mexican Hot chocolate wrapped around a blanket that she and Max had picked out together listening to the only thing that comforted her; music. Mrs. Potter's Lullaby was practically on repeat.

Lizzie knew people could come and go, but Cisco's loss was the first one that really affected her. It hurt even though she knew he was safe at home. She allowed herself a few moments to feel the loss (and, okay, cry), but then immediately went to Liz. Liz lost way too much in a short period of time. It wasn't fair. Neither young woman had family or close friends from home in Goodland so Lizzie thought they should stick together.

She let herself into the apartment as Liz told her to. "Liz?" She called softly as she entered. "It is me, Lizzie."

"Hey Google, pause" Could be heard when Lizzie walked into the apartment. She had music playing across the room and hadn't felt like getting up to turn it off. Thank God for her Google Home device to do it for her. It really came in handle sometimes. "Grab yourself some hot chocolate. I'm by the booknook" She told in a normal voice now that there was no music, taking a sip of her own Mexican hot chocolate. Setting it down, she adjusted the blanket around herself, mustering up a smile when she saw her friend come into view. "Hey girl"

"Hey," Lizzie replied. She didn't bother with the hot chocolate; she could do that later. She, instead, went to Liz and sat down with her arms open. "Come here, honey."

Much as she had done with Maria many times in her life, Liz went into Lizzie's arms with hesitation as she sat down with open arms. She'd been hurting so much these past few weeks and would never admit it, but she needed the cuddles of a friend. Resting her head on Lizzie's shoulder, she curled her legs up and wrapped the blanket around them because it was big enough. "I hate this place" She told her after a few moments of silence between them. She was halfway between wanting to stay there and wanting to go home. At home had her friends and family, which included a now alive Rosa, and here she had friends and family too but either way Max wad dead. It didn't matter where she was because she would be without Max no matter what.

Lizzie hated hearing Liz say she wanted to go home, but she understood. She too lacked her close family and friends despite the wonderful people she cared about in Goodland. It was a tough town. "I know," she admitted, "but you are stuck here with me, sorry, sweetheart." She hugged her tightly.

"I'm not gonna complain about that" She told her as she snuggled into, her accepting the hug from the girl. Who knew that bonding over a shared name would lead to such a deep bond? Liz sure didn't but she was would be forever grateful for it, as she really cherished Lizzie's friendship. She couldn't imagine her life without the girl in it. "Thanks for coming over. And for the Galentine's Day gifts. Sorry I couldn't make it out with you like we planned. I'll make up for that next year"

Lizzie waived off the apology. "I'm just glad you let me in here," she replied. "And we're going to spend the day eating and watching bad television, okay?"

"I couldn't isolate myself forever. I did that for ten years and it wasn't the best idea" She replied, reaching up to wipe some nonexistent tears from her face. Hearing Lizzie's plans for the day, Liz smiled and sat up, turning towards her. "I'm going to introduce you to the worst television of all, telenovelas. Don't worry, I'll put the English subtitles on for you" She told her as she moved to get up, her mood seemingly better at the idea of having this kind of day with her friend. It's what she needed. "Grab yourself some hot chocolate and I'll see what snacks I have" She told her as she grabbed her own and began moving towards the kitchen.
