Considering his usual state was somewhere between depressed and mildly content, Bruce wasn't exactly disappointed by the forced happiness pushed on them all. But the not being able to come down from it was confusing his brain. He knew, logically, that this was probably going to suck when the Entity got bored and let them all go, but for now, he didn't really have a choice but to smile disgustingly everywhere he went.

It was a little bit easier to deal with if he cut himself off from people so he headed up to the gardens. They relaxed him. Maybe the other him, the one James knew, had been smart, finding solace in plants. The ones James had given him did seem to cheer him up a bit. And the garden up here was soothing in the worst of times.

Ordinarily he was alone, but there was a pretty blond woman and, well... "Not again," he muttered, but immediately reached out to hug her. "Hi!"

Yeah. This could stop any time now.

He couldn't help watching how tender she was with a weed. Most people would have yanked it and tossed it to the side but she seemed to show it genuine care. "Do you communicate with the plant life?" He knew some people could - you didn't meet as many powered people as he did without finding a few odd things. But it was another thing entirely to meet someone who did.

"I'm glad you're up here. I know next to nothing about actually taking care of them. I just bring some water up if they're looking a little dry." And then he remembered his manners and offered a hand, beaming brightly. "I'm Bruce."

"I do not but I was raised to be a farmer and was a farmer for much of my life - before I was a Jarl's wife and a queen and after all that as well. Plants are in my blood, I suppose." she smiled a bit, "Even weeds have a use, you know."

"I can teach you, if you would like to learn?" she offered with a warm smile, "It would be my pleasure." she took the offered hand after a moment. She was not used to such gestures so she was a little hesitant. "I am Lagertha."
