Who: Mary Bromfield and Freddy Freeman.
What: Sibling time
Where: Their apartment.
When: Dinner time

Mary hadn’t done much superheroing while the villains were running around, but instead did her best to keep things managed at the Clinic-- it mostly meant that she was cleaning and helping the patients with non-medical things (getting them food, water, comfort items), but it was something to keep her focused on. She did Shazam a few times, when there were villains reported near the buildings, just in case, or when she needed to lift things that were particularly heavy. Mary had only been a hero a few weeks before coming to Goodland, and though they had done well, Mary just wasn’t confident in those abilities. She wasn’t like Freddy, she didn’t have an innate understanding of superheroes like he did.

To say that she was relieved that all of it was over and neither of them had any serious injury was an understatement, though she did miss her other siblings. It had been months since she’d spoken to them, or Rosa and Victor, and it was really starting to weigh on her. For a child that had been so independent, she really did miss her family.

She finished the dishes and moved into the living room where Freddy was, smiling. As much as she missed the others, she was ridiculously glad to have her little brother. They were the first two at Victor and Rosa’s, and it was sort of just like that, wasn’t it? The two of them waiting for the others to show up.

She flopped down on the couch, and nudged Freddy playfully. “Got any big plans for Valentines day, Romeo?” She winked at him.

Freddy and Mary had similar thoughts. It was hard not to after everything they just experienced. It was tough going through hard times without the people they loved most. However, Freddy, like Mary, was glad they were together. He'd been in Goodland first, but he really didn't think he could have lasted this long alone. Sure, he had friends in their new reality, but they couldn't replace his family; it expanded, but never replaced.

Dinner, as usual, was good and Freddy helped where he could. However, he went to the living room while Mary finished up the last of the dishes. He liked talking to his sister after a long day. Their family dinners, although small now, were a piece of home.

He blushed when she joined him and posed her question. "Maybe," he admitted. "I don't know. I'm thinking about planning something." What? Well, that part he didn't know.
