WHO: Sarissa and Christine Chapel
WHERE: The Clinic
WHEN: Jan 22
WHAT: Dealing with the injured
As the wounded started to flood into the clinic after encounters of the rash of bad guys flooding the streets, Sarissa reminded herself that there was no need for her to get overly involved. So what if she could've easily created a burst of sunlight when that one person was asking for it on the network? She'd barely finished reading the post before at least two people jumped in to volunteer their help. So what if being out on the streets could've prevented some of the clinic's patients from being injured in the first place? She couldn't be everywhere at once. And besides, there were enough people out there being heroes and trying to stem the damage from the villains. Maybe it was selfish, keeping her powers under wraps. But Sarissa could live with that. There were consequences to using her powers, and she did not want them to come to pass. And it wasn't as if she wasn't helping. Sarissa had been in the clinic since the first patient had come in through the attacks, and she hadn't gone back to her apartment since. The nice thing about being a faerie queen: despite days of not showering, she still looked and smelled as fresh as a just-bloomed rose. When she finally took a break in the afternoon, she still felt energized, as if she hadn't spent the last three days sleepless and subsisting on morning dew. "How are we for bed space?" The question was asked of the blonde nurse who was already in the lunch room. Sarissa had gotten to know Nurse Chapel somewhat during the event, but they hadn't had much opportunity to talk. |
