"About the same." Richie told him, "A little later, but not much." He'd been the one to bite the bullet and stay in Derry this time. Not for long, but long enough to sort out Eddie's things and deal with the police who all of a sudden had gotten much better at their jobs. "I was on my way out of town but landed here instead."
He paused briefly, then sighed again, "Still not entirely convinced they're not related." He didn't really want to say it out loud, it felt impossible. And even if it were possible, this didn't feel...mean enough. It was cruel and torturous, and Richie had plenty of baggage that could be used against him. The whole situation wasn't awful enough to be connected to It, and even though he knew they'd killed it, he couldn't help but think it anyway.
