Who: Bill and Dominique Weasley
When: Saturday night
Where: Their flat
What: Some Weasley chaos!
Warnings: Likley none other than some swearing possibly?

"Papa!" Dominique called out knowing that her father had to be in their flat or well, she assumed he was as she had not heard him leave. She knew she was lucky that their other flatmates were currently out. "Aide-mo-" Dominique, however, did not get her final words out before she was forced to duck behind the kitchen counter as several dishes came crashing down around her.

It was a simple spell, how had it gone so wrong? A second-year could have done it and she was absolutely sure she had done it right... She let out a yelp as a dark object came whizzing rather close to her head, smashing into a cabinet, and went about whizzing about the flat.

This was absolute rubbish, Dominique thought as she got to her feet and stepped out from behind the safety of the counter. "Impedimenta!" She said as she brandished her wand with a fluid and swift motion. Still, the tennis ball, perfectly transfigured into a bludger, kept buzzing about unaware that it should no longer be moving.

"Reducto," Dominique called out again trying to stop the rogue bludger from cracking her skull open, only it did not have the desired effect. No, the object simply split in two multiplying her troubles. "Finite," Dominique tried again, but again, the object simply multiplied again causing Dominique to dive back behind their kitchen counter.

If she didn't know better she would say it was an object from her uncle's joke shop, meant to cause chaos, but it wasn't and she didn't do the spell wrong. Was there something about this place that made spells act strange? It was possible, wasn't it? There was a lot of other world magic and things present there that she knew not of.

"Papa!"

"Maybe you can start with something easier next time?" Not that he knew what she'd been trying to do. Nor had any of her spells that he had seen do anything like what was expected. But she was under duress then, and that was a terrible time to be casting spells. "I haven't heard anyone complaining about magic being wrong. Except Disapparating from here." The first thing he'd tried, actually.

She seemed to be all healed, but he took her hands and flipped them over all the same before looking over the rest of her for anything he'd missed. "Maybe you're coming down with something."

"Maybe," Dominique agreed because she didn't know what else to say in response to that. It wasn't like she was trying anything overly complicated, at least not for her. She transfigured stuff all the time at home, but then again, maybe that was too complex for this place. Besides, was Goodland a magical place or what? She wasn't sure. "More likely it's just me being strange..." Maybe she really was doomed to live a Muggle existence while she was there.

"I'm probably just out of practice." She admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. There wasn't a Hogwarts of Beauxbatons there, so she had been left to her own devices on finishing her education from what textbooks the Entity had given her.
