Cisco was actually a little nervous about Christmas this year. His relationship was still new, so he hadn't asked directly about spending Christmas with them, so he figured to be on the safe side they'd spend the night before Christmas together. Not too intrusive he hoped. He knew Tony was doing Christmas things, he'd probably make an appearance over there as well, but as for what else? He had no idea. He left it mostly open, if nothing happened he would have plenty of Bourbon Eggnog. If something happened, great. The house was quite festive this year, more so than he'd anticipated. Over his own door there was red and green Christmas lights, as well as wrapped around the ceiling of their home. He was happy, for the first time in a long while he was genuinely happy. There were things he could be upset about, but he was trying not to dwell on the bed. Ninety percent of the things in his life were going well. There was always that little tiny voice that worried about the ten percent that always threatened to put the kibosh on them but he was trying to live in the moment. Trying not to be the world's most paranoid engineer.
He'd made eggnog and there were leftovers, why worry about the other stuff? ....Because he was home base. Because every time something awful happened it happened at Christmas. Cisco found himself reaching for his tablet while he waited for people to show up and nervously scanned the skies over Goodland on it via his satellite. He was still online. Hovering in space as far as he could get. Everything was still in tact. No baddie of the week, no awful Krampus threatening to punish them for enjoying their life. Everything was quiet. Cisco's anxiety began to fade again as he took another sip of bourbon. He was well on his way to buzzed. Happily shutting up that temporary anxiety attack with liquor. He had people coming.
He had to remind himself not to dwell and forced himself to put down the tablet. Cisco focused on the bourbon eggnog in his hand and drank a bit more of it. Internal crisis averted for the moment. All there was to do was wait for people
