Lights in the French Quarter
Who: Bonnie Bennett and Enzo St. John
What: Date Night
Where: The French Quarter
Warnings: TBD
Status: Complete

To say that Goodland was strange would be an understatement. Bonnie was thankful to the Entity, and she had been trying not to think about the future. She wanted to cherish every day she had with Enzo, and not worry about the possibility that they may be sent back. This wasn’t an easy feat for the witch, especially when the nagging voice in the back of her head kept screaming at her, but she had- for the most part- managed to ignore it.

Other than a few excursions into the outside world, the two of them spent the majority of their days hidden away in their apartment. Bonnie didn’t think anyone would really mind, but even if they did? She couldn’t find it in her to care all that much. They were making up for lost time. But, as much as she loved their little hideout? She was starting to go a little stir crazy, so she dragged Enzo out onto the streets of New Orleans. Who knew how long the change of scenery would last, after all?

"What the hell even is this place?” She asked, slipping her hand into his. "I can’t imagine the kind of power it takes to pull something like this off."

"I have a feeling nobody has." And if they have, they weren't sharing with the rest of the class. "We know this, but it doesn't seem like anyone else is thinking this way." He shook his head a little at her question. "I've seen people talk about the strange things that have accrued. Most of it seems non-treating. Everyone seems pretty content on living out a normal life without too much question." He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. He did know one thing. He didn't want to spend their whole time out talking about what this Entity might be up to.

Enzo stopped walking, stepped in front of Bonnie and grabbed her other hand. "I know you're worried about all of this and we'll figure out sooner or later. We normally do. But I also think since we're here we might as well make the most of it." Who knew where they might be tomorrow. "What do you say, fun tonight and five hundred questions tomorrow?"

Bonnie opened her mouth to reply with yet another question probably, but when he stepped in front of her, the words were lost. For a moment, her mind drifted back to a similar conversation that occurred on New Year's Eve. The night felt like a million years ago, but the memory of it was still so clear that it seemed to have happened recently. She could even see all of the lights in the cabin and remembered thinking how handsome he looked in that suit. That was the night she realized she was in trouble. That was the night she realized she was falling for Enzo St. John.

Her lips tugged up into a smile, and she stepped closer to him. "I think I can manage to shut my brain up for tonight."

A smile crossed Enzo's lips when Bonnie agreed to have a night of fun. Tomorrow they could go back to worry about Goodland and the Entity and everything tied to it. "I was hoping you would say that." He leaned in and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. "Come on, let's have some fun." He let go of one of her hands and started to lead the way towards the nearest bar. It seemed lively and there was live music coming from it. Can't go wrong with that, right?

Bonnie returned his kiss, smiling against his lips, before happily following him toward the sound of music. "Are you trying to get me drunk," she teased with a laugh- not that she would be opposed to getting absolutely hammered. "We should make a new bucket list."

"Nope, not at all," he told her with an innocent look. It didn't last long. A smile ended up creeping through the innocent look. "Yeah?" It didn't sound like such a bad idea. He was curious to see what they could come up with this time around and what they could accomplish in a strange new land. "Let's do it. Let's make a new one."

Once inside the bar, he took a look around. It wasn't totally busy, but it wasn't totally dead either. "I'll get the drinks and you can find us a place to sit."

Bonnie's eyebrow arched at his 'innocent' look. "Because you would never," she said with a smirk before it turned into a smile of her own. She liked the idea of making a new bucket list together and was glad he seemed to think so as well. Their circumstances would be different this go around. "I have the best ideas, huh?"

She squeezed his hand with a wink, and then scanned the bar before making her way toward a cozy little table nestled against the wall. Bonnie appreciated that it wasn't packed full of people, and the fact that music wasn't horrible either. Slipping down into one of the chairs, she propped her elbows up on the table and turned her gaze back to Enzo at the bar.

"I wouldn't," he told her, still trying to play off the innocent thing. "I have this feeling that you don't believe me." He was trying to bite back the smile, but it really just wasn't working. "You really do, luv."

While Bonnie grabbed them a table to sit out, Enzo went to the bar to get their drinks. A few minutes later and he was at the table with Bonnie, setting two empty glasses down and a bottle of bourbon. He took a seat, poured a generous amount of liquor into both glasses, and then set the bottle back down. He pushed one glass towards Bonnie before grabbing his own and holding it up. "To a night of fun."

"Whatever gave you that idea?" Bonnie asked- eyebrow still raised, but her smile remained. "Although, I am tempted to let you continue because that innocent look you're trying to pull off? It is incredibly cute."

Bonnie's eyes remained glued to him the entire time. It was almost as if she would never tire of looking at him, not that she minded in the least. "To a night of fun, and us," she said with her glass raised before clinking it against his and tossing the bourbon back.
