"Yes," Trevor blurted out automatically, giving her his full attention again. It didn't matter that it was probably a terrible idea to crown a night of terrible ideas. He didn't care, either, that she might be using him merely to satisfy her need for sensual attention. In fact he rather liked the idea since it meant she'd be happy and he'd know she wasn't off prowling for random men who were entirely unworthy of so much as looking at her, let alone touching her.
Smiling, Taryn slipped a hand around his neck to pull him to her. Maybe it was really wrong, and really mean, to want to make out with Trevor when she was so unsure of her own feelings for him. He had told her he loved her, and she just wanted to kiss until her lips were tingly. Taryn knew he wouldn't mind, and she knew he wouldn't deny her this, if this was what she wanted. Scooting closer to him on the bed, Taryn pressed her lips to his, more than a little eager to see if her body would respond in the same way it had down by the pool.
Trevor kissed her back gently at first, thinking it would be best to keep his hands to himself at least. But Taryn was irresistible now that he'd had a taste and it didn't take long before he deepened the kiss again, lifting his hand to her cheek. He failed to understand how something that felt so perfectly right could be at all wrong.
Oh yes. Her body definitely responded to his kisses, even upstairs where the mood was considerably less romantic. Or maybe, somehow, it was more romantic. Taryn didn't quite know, and she didn't really care to think about it just then. With her fingers drifting through his damp hair, Taryn had to pull away so she could take a breath. When she did, she opened her eyes to gaze at him from under her lashes. "You never told me you could kiss like that," she teased lightly, even though her voice was a little hoarse from arousal. "I've been missing out."
"Maybe I should've lead in with that," Trevor said with a smirk. He leaned in enough to kiss her lightly again, but pulled back when he realized she was the one calling the shots, not him. His fingers traced up her jawline and around the curve of her ear, then down her neck and shoulder. The way she was looking up at him only served to turn him on further. It was the sort of gaze he'd only dared dream about Taryn giving him.
She was used to calling the shots when it came to boys. All the guys she had been interested in since puberty hit had been boys that were more or less below her. Non-elementals, and if they were elementals, they weren't metal elementals. Trevor was her equal, but it was difficult to do anything but hold the reins here. When his fingers touched her, Taryn shivered again. The reaction her body had was evident from the tight fitting tank top she wore to bed, and Taryn had to resist pulling him closer, and maybe even pushing him down onto her bed. That would be too fast, too soon. Taryn leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, her hand coming around to touch his jaw the way he just had done to her. "Maybe... we should go to bed. Clear our minds. If we don't, I may want you to stay here all night and I'd rather be completely sober for that."
