Upon seeing Sirius making his way to him, Remus smiled, all previous thoughts being set on the back burner. So long as he was here and actively with the other man, he found he didn't overthink half as much as he usually did. The nagging voice in the back of his mind and the gears would always whir, no matter what he did, but it was easier to ignore them and instead focus on the here and now when in Sirius' company. Whether that was a conscious choice or a subconscious one, he didn't really know or care. All he knew was that it was easier, better, and that was all that really mattered.
When hands came to his face, Remus' own moved into place, one resting where Sirius' neck met his shoulder and the other upon his chest. It was brief, but in the moment he returned the kiss, he could feel the other's heartbeat; it seemed to be fluttering as much as his own. The fact made him smile a bit more, if only because knowing that made him feel a little less ridiculous. To know that they were both floundering in this whole situation and both felt the same about such things... well. It was simply nice to know. Not being alone in feeling something, not having to be isolated in both thought and experience, it made a nice change. He would never want anyone to know what it was like to be a werewolf, or to experience some of the things he had, but at least this could be shared. They could figure this out together.
All while taking their time telling poor Jamie. He felt a bit guilty concerning that, but wasn't it better to figure it out personally first and then share? The excuse sounded good logically—it didn't change the fact that they were keeping something big from her though. Maybe they'd figure out a way to discuss it eventually. Hopefully. Maybe.
When his hand was grasped, Remus let himself be led into the restaurant with a grin upon his face. "Thank you. I have to say, I wasn't quite expecting something like this. Not that I was expecting anything, as I suspect I might've let the day go by without even realising it had passed..." But still. This was elaborate, personal, and it was a date. The werewolf idly wondered what would have differed had they not had their little ‘talk' a week ago.
Unsure and uncaring overly much, he took a moment to stop Sirius' warpath with a tug to the other's hand. Once stopped, Remus placed another kiss on the other's lips. Just because. Initiative, Lupin, it's not such a bad thing. "Thank you, really. I know you're the quite the charmer, but you didn't have to go through the trouble." Not for me.
