The exorcisms wouldn't help them much if there wasn't anything for them to be exorcised from. Not that he had tried an exorcism the last time he'd run into a shadow demon, which had been the daevas; they'd turned those back on Meg, and then used flares to get rid of them. The flares were the same, but the rest wasn't. "I'm guessing there isn't a way to get the darkness without having to deal with the Taken."
He considered that, looking around. "Maybe we could set up a circle of lights facing outward to weaken them and keep them away while we deal with the shadow. Do you think that'd work?" Until he saw how these things behaved with his own eyes, he really couldn't be sure, but since they had the time, it was better to hash out a plan with what he knew and run it by Alan for feasibility than try to come up with it on the fly.
