Like Bruce, there was no possible way that Steve would tell Pepper that Tony had revealed such personal information in such a public way. He wouldn't lie if asked, but there would be no reason to humiliate her with exposing such information. Besides, men talked during the war and even though he didn't agree with doing it, he understood that it was a pretty common- if not disrespectful- thing to do.
Steve accepted the crystal and its immediate warmth from Tony; for so many reasons he'd become rather attached. Leading them to one of the stones wouldn't be difficult, he remembered the location precisely. Like the Major he'd be quite happy to lead others to retrieve stones of their own, although he had to wonder if there was something more to it. Something potentially ugly, but for now the warmth was just welcome.
When Kaidan told Tony he'd have to explain what was fantasy and what was reality in this place, he leaned back and shoved the stone in his pocket. "I don't know that there's a difference in reality and fantasy in this place," he said as he let his eyes drift between the three men. "What I can tell you, Major, is that I've been here for about six months. In that time not one thing has been what might have been considered normal. When I arrived the city looked like it was built from plants and the people were indescribable creatures. Not horrible, just... incredibly strange. People have come here only to vanish into thin air with no explanation. We've endured and fought vampires and zombies, met angels and warred with demons, one of which saved my life. Now we're here among elves and other story book creatures. There doesn't seem to be a line between fantasy and reality. Not here." He turned to the genius and offered a one shouldered shrug; it was a question to Tony after all, he just didn't want let it go.
It sounded crazy even to his own ears, but it was the way things were in this realm, wherever it was. Granted life wasn't so different before, what with crimson skull headed enemies and invading alien armies with vengeful so-called gods to lead them, but it was still strange enough. Either that or the serum had driven him insane and he simply didn't know better.
The reference to the big guy wasn't one he was willing to explain, though. Not with Dr. Banner here to speak for himself, and Steve adopted a thoughtful expression as he leaned in his chair and rested his arm on the table. Nope, best to let the good doctor handle that one.
