Tony nodded, tilting his head in understanding when the Major told him that he was on medication. "Fair enough. More for me then." He poured his glass and casually leaned against the outside of the bar, watching as Bruce entered the room. His brow furrowed when the sudden familiarity clicked between the scientist and the newcomer, and he raised his glass slightly before speaking when they finished. "Woah woah woah, you two know each other? And I wasn't invited?" His eyes moved to Bruce. "Hurt. This is me, hurt. We're fighting, Banner." Somehow there was a playful tone in his annoyed response, showing that he was kidding in a way that only Tony Stark could do. He fell silent, however, when they began to speak of the stone that they had come across, and when he noticed that two of the four men in the room had one he tilted his head in curiosity. "And you and Clint went on an adventure without me? We really have to start working on our communication in this tower, and I'm uninviting both of you to my birthday party." He casually launched himself off of the bar to stroll over to the table where Steve sat, and although he was eyeing the stone, he didn't ask for it. Everything about the mans body language said that he didn't want to have to let it go, and Tony didn't need to hold it to understand what they were explaining.
"I'm guessing since you're referring to them as 'symbols' they weren't anything that you recognized, right?" He walked behind Steve to his other side, his eyes trained on the crystal in his teammates hand before he finally looked up and sipped his drink. "It could mean something but for now it seems harmless, isn't it? I mean, it's obvious that we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto." He gestured out the large window to the city and, beyond it, the trees. "Hell, I'm hearing talk of down right fantasy out there, maybe these crystals are normal around this place." He fell silent for a few moments, his pacing having stopped as he stood a few feet from Alenko. His gaze fell to the crystal in Steve's hand again. "I'll admit that it's strange that these birds are coming into the city though. It doesn't look like much else is. And if their soul purpose is to lead us to something that keeps us warm at night, maybe there's a friendly source out there making a peace offering. Which is something we might need to look into."
He sipped his drink again before continuing. "There are only two groups who make peace offerings. The ones who know that they can be easily stepped on, or the ones who think they can crush us but want to make it clear that they won't. Yet."
