Steve had considered turning his stone over for examination, but every time he'd set it down the cold came back and he missed it. For that reason alone he didn't really want to part with it; it had been hard to get warm since he'd awakened, but he never complained. This helped, and if someone had asked for it he would part with it. Otherwise, he valued it too much to simply give it away. Not without good reason.
The bike started without a problem, loud in the quiet city, and a comfort beneath him. Early on he'd had the bike modified to carry a passenger, and it was a good thing too as it happened frequently enough. He moved up in the seat to provide enough room for the other man, the ride back would be cool enough without adding the discomfort of a cramped seat.
The ride to the tower wasn't too terribly long, and by the time he pulled into the lowest level garage, he was happy to be in the warmth of the building once more. The garage was filled with Tony's cars, and why a man needed so many he couldn't understand. There was no way he could drive them all, but it must have been a billionaire thing. Steve waited to allow the Major to dismount at his leisure, but once the bike was off and silent Steve looked around. "JARVIS, please tell Dr. Banner and Mr. Stark that I've brought Major Alenko to the tower. Dr. Banner should know who he is."
Steve also dismounted and motioned toward the ceiling, "It's a computer, it runs everything here, like a butler but without a body." It was more than a little strange, but it was something that became routine pretty quickly. "They'll be upstairs, I'd bet. Come on."
Somehow he imagined that the sharing of stories probably wouldn't happen once the scientists were involved, but that was all right. It wasn't like there wasn't time enough for that.
