"She can be contacted via phone or prayer," Cas replied simply. "Though I feel she would prefer the former, more conventional means. Anna was human for quite some time, or at least, that particular one was. I get the feeling she misses it, though I agree it would be unwise for her to relinquish her Grace at this time. As for Buffy, she is also a soldier and a respectable one at that. Perhaps not in the sense that you or I are accustomed to, but having gone into battle with her a number of times, I will say her skills are rare."
To Cas, it was simply strange to have friends to speak of. There had always been Dean, and though the relationship had been repaired in this reality, the fact remained that his own Dean had not been kind to him once the Apocalypse had drawn to a close. Cas had not set out looking for friends upon his arrival, primarily due to the entirely unpredictable nature of humans and their moods. Steve, however, seemed to be more even-tempered, which was a relief.
"I...would also like to meet your associates," he admitted. "I have spoken to Dr. Banner once or twice and met with Phil Coulson. Though I have heard about the others through various sources and they seem highly admirable."
Having never read comics or thought to, the term 'superhero' was lost on Cas, though he appreciated people's abilities and accomplishments for what they were. The Avengers had been indispensable during the battle at Elysium. That had been more than enough to gain his respect.
