It was a relief to hear that no apparent marks were upon him, an d that he was as he had been before the fight. There was a thought in the back of his mind that it was vengeance, but perhaps the vengeance was not done in that way. Perhaps it was sending them all here, and the reason for that would only become known in time.
Steve nodded and softly thanked Cas for the reassurance before he took a generous drink once more and nodded in agreement with his thought. "I'm sure I'm not the only one," he said as he swirled the liquid in the bottle and watched it, brows furrowed in thought. "I'm sure she helped others. She may have helped my team, but..."
But he hadn't really had a good conversation with them since. It was strange, normally they came together afterward, but perhaps they too needed time to process this change in circumstances. Perhaps there was more, and none of the thoughts were anything he wanted to entertain here and now.
"We need to know who she helped and how. Maybe we can piece together what happened," Steve continued, in full agreement with Castiel and leaving the rest of the thoughts to be dealt with later. "Do you know of others already, or is it a suspicion?"
