"Well, he's Severus Snape. He was written to be antagonistic. But you know, I don't think I want to know that story either. I can only imagine some kind of blackmail was involved." He was being cheeky, trying to keep light-hearted despite everything that was happening. After all, Jonathan knew he'd be going out of his head if Andrew suddenly disappeared on him like he'd apparently done for Anna. It made him feel horrible that he'd just done the same to his own Andrew...
Alternate realities were such a headache.
Looking around the apartment and glancing out a nearby window, he couldn't help but stare in awe at all the lights outside. This was totally New York City and was such a far cry from little ol' Sunnydale that it was kind of a rush. A terrifying rush, but a rush still. How did Andrew adapt to this? How did anyone?
Once Anna spoke up, Jonathan joined her, smiling at the lack of organisation. "I'm not much better, but I always try to keep the important things together. Games in one pile, DVDs in another. Beyond that it's anyone's guess what you'll find inside." They were a bad influence on one another in that way. Warren was the organised one, painfully so. But Jonathan had gone a long time without thinking about Warren and he wanted to keep it that way. So instead, he searched.
It did take a while, but eventually Jonathan found a case that had been tucked away and hidden under and behind countless more DVD cases. The label read Sunnydale 2003 and he looked to Anna, holding it up for her to see. "Think this might be it? What do you think the odds are that the label actually correlates with what's inside?" He smiled again before opening the case checking: three places to put DVDs, two inside labelled with the third missing.
"All accounted for except for the last disk. Might still be around here somewhere..."
