Jonathan couldn't help but smile, more of an amused but fond smirk in reality, but it was something. "Guess Andrew's done a lot of growing up then. Can't say the one I know's real good at the surviving thing unless he had an anchor in reality. He's always got the right idea, but the actual execution and application? He needs work on that."
If alternate realities were possible, if he was able to remember this experience and put it to good use once he returned, then maybe... just maybe... he could be that anchor. He could prevent whatever happened to them, could make sure everything would be all right. It might be too late for this other version of Andrew, and too late for his other self—but hey, that's what alternate universes were always about. How many alternate universes did Marvel have by now? Every Earth had a number and while some were wiped out by zombie plagues, somewhere else Captain America had become Colonel America and served as the nation's president.
Not only that, but travelling across the dimensions was a thing. He'd already managed that somehow this time, even if it was through the supernatural forces of this fountain. There was a good chance he could do something with this, some way he could use this opportunity to set things right and make this reality filled with other reality transients a better place. Even if it was just for Andrew.
Nodding respectfully to Severus as he took his leave and addressed him, once he'd gone Jonathan let out a deep breath he'd been holding, looking up to Anna with some slight distress. "God, he's terrifying. No wonder so many of his students dropped Potions class for their N.E.W.T.-level classes."
Once Anna was ready to teleport again, Jonathan nodded, drawing in another deep breath to hold, hoping that might ease the process. Breathe in in one location, let that breathe go in another. No problem. Point A and Point B. "Ready," he offered, still holding his breath, but putting on his Brave Face. Totally cool. He could do this. He mastered teleportation both technologically and magically in wishverse he'd created once. He could totally do this without completely embarrassing himself—he just needed to remember to keep his cool.
