Anna had to agree with Jonathan on that front. Explaining what was going on with Meg wouldn't make much sense unless she started from the beginning and the beginning felt like it was far away from them somehow. As if so much had happened in so little time that it probably was just better to watch all of Andrew's video diaries, considering she knew he'd been documenting everything since he arrived. Not only would that explain why Jonathan was there, but it would probably explain her and Snape in a way Jonathan could understand.
After all...he pretty much spoke Andrew better than either of them ever could.
"No one in this room wants that," she assured him, ignoring Snape's distasteful glare. "But if I know Andrew at all, it's that he can take care of himself just enough to stay alive. We'll get him back. Just as soon as we know what that fountain's all about."
Sighing, she put her hands on her hips and paced the room a little, choosing her words carefully before looking up at Snape. "All right, I'm going to take him over there and see what we can find. Do you mind going back to the fountain and examining it? Me and my sister were already there once, but you're a wizard and we're not. You might see something we didn't."
As expected, Snape allowed a beat of silence to pass, staring at her with a look of disdain, but it was muted somehow. Like he didn't want to dislike her, but he was reminding himself to do it on principle alone. "I will be with you again shortly," he said finally. "Providing anything of use is even found...until next time, Mr. Levinson."
With a flourish of his wand, he converted himself back into the black smoke and filed out of the room gracefully, slipping through the vents in the wall and out. Anna didn't quite get Apparition, but if that's what suited him, she wasn't about to ask any questions. Turning back to Jonathan, she raised two fingers, preparing to transport. "Get ready."
