Note: Yet another party thread (and the last one we'll have up for a good long while, we promise!), so go wild. Start a thread, reply to another, or post a narrative. All threads can be replied to more than once - it can be at the ceremony or at the reception, we don't particularly care, so have fun!
To Castiel, the most uncomfortable part of this ceremony was the attire, and from the looks of it, his best men were in close agreement, but there was little that could be done about that. In the large equation, it was a small price to pay. To him, this simply meant that he was joined with Anna in every way. It meant little to him as to whether or not their union was recognized by human standards, but he had to admit that there was also something appealing about that. Whenever someone asked him if he were ready, he couldn't comprehend why anyone would suspect he wasn't. It had been explained to him that most human males found it intimidating to commit oneself to one female. Yet when Anna came down that aisle, the only thing he felt was a distinct sense of awe.
The priest himself seemed more uncomfortable to be honest - it was as if he didn't know for certain, but he seemed to at least sense that he was more or less surrounded by non-humans. He'd had half a mind to reassure the man before the ceremony began, but considering his past experiences with looking into others with his extra sense, he thought better about it. He stammered through most of the ceremony, causing Cas to exchange a faint, but knowing smile with Anna. "D-Do you take this woman?" the man stammered, pushing spectacles up his nose. "I mean to be your lawfully wedded...oh, that's right...vows. I believe they had their own, so I'll just leave it to them."
Cas waited for Claire to stop giggling. Her habit of laughing first at anything had been his cue as of late to know when something was amusing. "I do, but yes, we wished to assure each other," he said quickly, turning to Anna. "Before I came here, I know for certain I was lost. Certain things in life get complicated. Confusing...and often times frustrating and because of that, it modifies one's actions and behaviour. Until I reunited with Anna, I never took such actions into consideration. Which is why I say today that you saved me, Anna. For that, I will do my best to care for you until my time on this Earth comes to an end. I've loved you since we met, though now I am conscious of it. And I will continue to love you regardless of how difficult life may become. So yes, I do take you."
