Anna hadn't taken into consideration that she was meant to be moving around and standing when she'd picked out the dress. Her main concern had been that she (or Sam) didn't trip over it. Now she was starting to remember WHY the human world had gotten rid of corsets. At least Buffy and Anna seemed comfortable in their dresses. Although, she suspected the sometimes pained expression on her twin's face came from Castiel's absence and not the fact that the shoes pinched.
She bit back the grin that formed when Cas caught her smile at the priest's obvious discomfort. Off the top of her head, Anna was pretty sure that Dean, Meredith and Izzie were the only ones who were completely human. And the Pokemon who were bunched up around Claire probably wasn't helping the man's mood any. She could feel the air tinging slightly with the effects of so many powers in one place.
Anna glanced toward Claire, who clapped a hand over her mouth at being nudged by both Peter and Nathan on either side of her. She looked back at Cas as the giggling stopped, although, Anna was pretty sure if they stood here much longer, SHE was going to start laughing uncontrollably. There was some kind of. . .pent up energy bubbling underneath the surface now that they were standing here.
She realized her eyes were widening and then narrowing as Cas spoke and she tried to put a stopper on that. She smiled though, when he got to the end.
Anna glanced at the priest now who nodded at her that it was her turn. She was starting to think of the wedding scene in Men in Tights now -- or was it The Princess Bride -- she wondered if he'd just say "man and wife" if they told him to.
She took a deep breath and then let it out. Anna hesitated for a moment, but refused to turn around at Claire's suddenly loud hiss of "Abra! Abra!" and a flurry of motion behind her followed by Izzie's somewhat louder, "Claire! Come back here!"
Anna smiled now, although, she raised an eyebrow slightly at the sound of little bumps and noises happening by the gift table. She kept her eyes focused on Cas and her smile became a bit broader. "I wasn't. . .prepared for any of this. I'd been used to being alone before we woke up here. In fact, I'd planned on pretty much being alone for the rest of my life." She winced slightly at the feel of something tugging on her dress. "But," Anna soldiered on. "You have proven in so many ways I can't even count that I am loved and not alone." She hesitated because she was suddenly very sure she was going to start crying now. "And so, I promise. . .in every way I possibly can -- to love you and protect you until there's nothing left of us. I honestly cannot imagine my life any differently than it is right now and that's because of you, Cas. And yes. I do."
Anna swayed slightly as something slammed into her legs and she looked down to see Abra standing at her feet, holding up a case of beer with a ribbon on it. Anna's mouth fell open and then she looked back at the priest and then at Claire who was sort of kneeling next to Abra.
"No," Anna said softly. "it's not time for presents yet." She nodded her head towards the gift table. "We'll open them in a bit. Go with Claire."
Claire let out a breath when Anna nodded at her and then caught onto Abra's hand to drag him back towards where Peter and Nathan were sitting.
Anna turned back towards the priest. "Okay. Your turn."
The priest seemed to be contemplating just leaving right then, but he nodded. "By the power vested in me. I now pronounce you man and wife." He nodded at Cas now. "You may kiss the bride."
