Tim seemed to be rather uncomfortable immediately upon entering the bathroom. He avoided looking directly at her -- out of some form of politeness if she had to guess -- and his body language carried an undercurrent of -- oh.
Oh. Leslie had warned her about that on more than one occasion.
"Sorry." She reached up to pull the curtain closed. Then she stood up and poked her head through the narrow space between the curtain and the wall. That way she could watch Tim's expressions and he wouldn't have to be distracted by her.
"I saw ... two people. In the alley. One short. Child, I think. The other was tall. Adult with jacket. Member of Street Demonz." They was the local gang that called the Park Row neighborhood their turf. White gangstas desperate to be taken seriously, and all the more dangerous and violent because of it. They'd even tried to take Leslie's Park Row clinic hostage once, and Cass' success in stopping them had put her on Batman's radar in the first place.
"Short one ... child ... was shooter. He ran. Haven't seen him since. Tried to find Street Demon, see if he knows shooter. Found out Demon's name -- nickname -- is Big K. Gone missing. Gang mad at ... is mad at him."
It had taken her all this time to collect those pieces of information in put them in a coherent order. It would have taken Tim a single evening. She needed his help on this case.
Her brow furrowed. "Who is ... 'that Asian bitch'? Keep hearing about her. Said she was in alley too. They mean me?"
