Re: Grayson and Raleigh
"I just know most of the people who come through my office aren't as fortunate as we are." She looked around the room, the wealth and opulence of the family highly evident. Her own family was not nearly as wealthy, but still compared to most of the city's residents, she and Dick were both incredibly lucky. "I just keep thinking if I were a kid born in this city with no resources and no hope, wouldn't crime look like a future?" Her voice was clearly more animated, as this was something she was very passionate about. "The Wayne Foundation's support on this would make a huge difference in the various initiatives that I would like to see. Even your plans to offer employment to felons is amazing."
Perhaps she had made a mistake all those years ago in not getting to know Dick better. Had she known he was as passionate as she was, perhaps she could have gotten him involved with her own ideas when he was still on the force. Still, he was poised to make a huge difference now.
"CEO sounds like a huge weight on your shoulders, to be honest. Especially when you have such big shoes to fill." How little did she know what shoes Dick was filling. "But I am sure you will do well. After all, you almost beat few a few times in debating. That at least makes you able to outwit a stubborn board of directors."
