A little too late, Batgirl realized the masked youths had spotted her. Sloppy. Her lack of sleep was getting to her; she'd eventually managed a two-hour nap after Tim had left, but it wasn't nearly enough. Her edges were dulled, and she was irritable. Both from the lack of sleep and the unresolved issue that Tim had taken with him.
The leader strode toward her, wanting a closer look at her. She stood up from her hiding place and faced him, using her edgy irritability to her advantage. She wasn't afraid of him, and despite his masked face, she studied his body language for clues about what she was up against. Threat level. Training. Weaknesses.
He ordered her to leave. She shook her head. "No. You leave. Go home. All of you."
