Alexander Knox, Staff Reporter
Gotham Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Raleigh sustained a brutal attack on Sunday evening in her office at Gotham City Hall. According to police reports, an unknown assailant trapped Raleigh in her office between three and six pm, struck her with a blunt object, and then poured an unknown acid on her clothing. Raleigh was found around 6:30pm by Wayne Industries CEO and former police officer Richard Grayson after she failed to show for their dinner date.
Raleigh, the youngest member of the District Attorney’s staff, was well known for her initiatives to deter first time offenders to alternative punishment programs. The District Attorney’s office released the following statement late Sunday night regarding the attack: “Elizabeth is a treasured member of the staff, and the attack against her is very troubling. We will be increasing security in City Hall to make sure this kind of incident does not happen again. We wish her a very speedy recovery.”
Raleigh is the daughter of former Gotham Knights player and ESPN Announcer David Raleigh and philanthropist Rhonda Raleigh-Harper. As of midnight Sunday, she was listed in stable condition at Gotham County General Hospital. GCPD has not released any information on the suspect in this case.
