Katherine Stone fell down on the way up the stairs outside of work this morning and broke the heel on my shoe! Of course, I had no spare heels and I had to go on-air in flip-flops! I looked short against the green screen! It feels like a MONDAY... I need more coffee! =/

Subject Event.

Good afternoon,

We hope you are all having a productive Monday.

As we're sure you're all aware, this weekend is sure to be a great one! It's that time again - it's the NBC Chicago's annual family fun BBQ!!

This year, our venue is going to be Millennium Park as we are holding the event in conjuction with
Target's Family Fun festival!

This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 6th, from 1200 - 1800, on the Park’s Chase Promenade North.

Family and friends are invited, so we hope to see you all there! Please remember that you are a representative of NBC Chicago, and all employees will be expected to behave as such. (Meaning: No beach balls thrown into the fountain - and consequently jumping into said fountain after them - this year. You know who you are)

Also, if you have not received this year's "Team NBC Chicago" t-shirt, please contact your Human Resources Representative. (Last year we ran out of Larges, so let us know, ASAP!)

For travel information, visit www.transitchicago.com, although we're sure there will be opportunity for carpooling as there has been in previous years. (And if so, please make sure you have a designated driver.)
