blpaintchart the b-word is involvedThey walked the hallway, endlessly, haltingly. Remus kept a hand at Severus’ back, offering other for support. They’d stopped momentarily while Severus dealt with another pain.
“Perhaps a shower?”
“Now?”
“You’re overheated and tired.”
“What if?”
“The bath is en-suite, we’d only be a few steps from the bed.”
Severus nodded. The slightly cool water sluiced over him, Remus held him upright. Severus, finally, cooler asked to be dried. Remus retrieved the dressing gown. Severus waved it away. “Too close.”
Remus deposited Severus on the bed, Poppy appeared. Not much later they heard the lusty cry of their first-born child.
