♕ = CAPTAIN ✙ = REMOVED FROM GAME FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION PLAYER OF THE PITCH ![]() Today's PLAYER OF THE PITCH is: Benjimin NAKAMURA SCHOOL: Lagniappe POSITION: Chaser SOUNDBITES "SHE'S CAUGHT THE SNITCH! PARKINSON-PUCEY. HAS. CAUGHT. THE. SNITCH. It's a Hogwarts miracle! Just when you thought Lagniappe was gonna pull a miracle out of Kenmare -- wow, Merlin, now THAT will be the last time I ever bet against Gwenog f---ing Jones. I bet she's right chuffed. [...] Hogwarts is going to the finals! [redacted] [cheering]" "[winces] Boy, what a heartbreaking loss for Lagniappe. Tough. You don't score that many points in a day and normally walk away with a loss." - DERVIN MCGUFFIN, Quidditch sportscaster (WWN) "This -- shit. This is a tough one to take. Look, I'm gonna be real here, I can't talk about the game now. We're devastated about it. But I can talk about the players, who have given so much to be here, to work, to play. We fought hard to be here, and I'm -- I'm proud of these guys." - ARSENIA GONZALEZ, Lagniappe coach "Pinch me. Go on. Pinch me. [holds out arm] You know, this group of players? They've come so f---ing far. And you know what? They were the ones who were disadvantaged the most. A f---ing split house system, an entire bloody summers' lost of practices [...] you know, we were scrambling our arses, and while we just got ourselves a nice spot on the finals, we're not f---ing done here." - GWENOG JONES, Hogwarts coach MATCH FACTS
LEADERBOARD 1. DURMSTRANG 1490 (FINAL) 2. HOGWARTS 1280 (FINAL) 3. BEAUXBATONS 1140 4. LAGNIAPPE 1090 OOC Player of the Pitch? What's that? Our Quidditch-ized version of Man of the Match, where fans vote for the most outstanding player who makes the most impact in a game. This can be a player from either team, though historically, the PotP tends to be from the winning team. Player of the Pitch is chosen randomly, but before we roll, we weigh in various factors, such as the higher likelihood of PotP being on the winning team, whether or not PotP is permanently ejected from the game, etc. Because this is considered a "fan favourite" section, PotP has no bearing on future Quidditch performances. How were scores calculated? See here for the rundown on how we calculated scores. How are Bludger injuries calculated? Bludger injuries are rolled from a scale of 1-6: 1: Near hit. |
