Who: Rolf Scamander and Fred Weasley (of course also open to George) What: Rolf has a product to sell When: Saturday, January 13, 2003 Where: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes Rating: Low
Rolf wasn't the sort to go around to different stores asking people to peddle his wares, but having had the opportunity to get to know the Weasley twins during the Rebel days, and visit their shop a time or two sense, Rolf felt the product may be something they'd be interested in selling for him.
Rolf wasn't a proprietor, and he had no interest in opening a shop, but he felt like this could help people, and that's what Rolf really loved to do. Helping people was part of Rolf's soul, just like protecting magical animals had been a part of his grandfather's soul. Even though, largely, people were fairly terrible, Rolf believed that if there were just a few people doing kind things then the world would still have value. Fortunately, Rolf felt that the Weasleys were adding value to the world.
Rolf clutched the crystal in his hand. It was small, but beautiful. The quartz crystal held the two charms beautifully; if you looked closely you could see the patronus charm swirl gently in the blue, and a protection charm settled at the bottom with a purple-red color. It wasn't the first time Rolf had bound charms to crystals, but this was the first time he had tried to produce enough to sell.
It was designed to protect those who couldn't produce their own patronus charm, and who needed protection from dementors. Rolf hadn't heard reports of any attacks in months, but he felt that it was dangerous that only certain people could cast a patronus. It left too many vulnerable and afraid when it had happened. So the protection charm was paired with a protection charm that would protect the wearer when it was activated with the touch of a wand.
Rolf confidently stepped inside the shop with a smile, and when he saw that it was quiet and neither of the twins were behind the desk, he happily called out "Hello, Weasleys!"
