Who: Ron Weasley-Bones and Rabastan Lestrange What: Meeting Professionally When: Friday Morning Where: Lestrange Manor Rating: Low
Mornings were typically busy, but sedate, for the Weasley-Bones family. Ronnie would wake around 5:00 a.m. for the first feeding of the day, and while Susan cared for their daughter, Ron would get up and make a passable breakfast for the two adults. Fortunately, breakfast didn't take much skill to create. After breakfast, Ron would play with the baby for a little while, and get ready for work. His schedule typically started around 9:00 a.m. but there were times when it was different.
Today, it was different. He couldn't help but spend some time playing with his daughter. Ron was wrapped around her little finger, and it hadn't been a month yet. At this point, playing with her was more about spending time with her. He'd prop her up on her pillow and lay in front of her to encourage her to lift her head and grow stronger. He'd talk to her and reach out a finger for her to grab. Ron was most excited for the days when she was able to talk and play with him, but he loved watching her at this stage too.
It wasn't long before he had to get up and get dressed. He kissed Susan goodbye, and put Ronnie in her crib for a nap, and flooed out to his sister and her husband's house.
Sometimes it was strange to think that the Minister for Magic was his brother-in-law, but today, Ron was thinking that he was simply visiting the Minister, and not his brother-in-law.
Ginny greeted him and he celebrated with her on her pregnancy. It certainly was a good way to start the year, even if there were other threats to mitigate. Ron was happy for her, and told her just that.
It wasn't long before the Minister arrived and Ron stood to say hello. He was worried about this conversation; worried more for the safety of his family than himself, but still troubled by the threat received from Malfoy than he expected to be.
"Minister." He said with a smile, and outstretched hand. He hoped he looked more confident than he felt.
