Rodolphus just laughed and shrugged his shoulders slightly after settling down in his chair with a snack and drink in hand. “Opposite sides it is then, Never met a man who liked to bet wrong as often as you do.” Rodolphus teased. It had been too long since they’d both gotten to mess around, and it was nice. When talks turned to Andromeda, Rodolphus couldn’t help the way his face softened and his smile changed, He wasn’t even aware of it.
“Things are well.” He said, a happy grin on his face. “I’m not going to mess this up, or let this slip through my fingers again.” It would be no surprise to Rabastan how strongly that Rodolphus felt, he had felt this way about Andromeda since before he could properly articulate such things. He’d let bureaucracy and propriety come before that in the idiocracy of his youth, and he would do whatever it took to keep her now. “Henry adores her, and she’s wonderful with him. Things have been more enjoyable than ever with her staying there. I might never be exactly domestic, but she doesn’t expect me to be either. Nor does she attempt to goad me into fights like my former wife. It's calming.”
