Who: Neville Longbottom and Ron Weasley What: Neville has great news Where: The house Arthur Weasley is hiding in When: Wednesday Night, before this.
Neville had been a whirlwind of emotions, so incredibly overwhelmed by everything, that he barely knew what happened. His conversation with Ginny had spanned many emotions, but when they spoke of marriage, he’d realized he’d never been so sure of anything ever before. He clung to the idea of that beautiful woman in a wedding dress (even though Neville knew that it wouldn’t be anything as huge or extravagant as she deserved). He stopped at a small jewelry store and he was quickly disheartened. The rings that Ginny deserved where out of his price range, but it didn’t take long that would do for now-- besides, if it wasn’t as beautiful as her, Lestrange might not even notice it.
It was armed with the ring, and the thought of Ginny’s words, that he went to meet her father. He was familiar with where Ron and Mr. Weasley had been staying. His heart nearly leaped out of his chest as he spoke to the older man. Though he was shocked, he understood, and the two of them shared a moment before, on cloud nine, Neville left again, with the permission to marry Ginny.
He was grinning ear to ear as he moved towards the door, opening it to come face to face with Ron. “Ron,” Neville started, hardly able to keep it to himself, “I know.. I know I should have told you sooner… but I’ve been seeing Ginny.. And uh, we’re engaged now.”
