When: Wednesday 19th October, after work
What: Kissing and telling
Rating: TBD; Low?
It was past eight by the time Kevin made it to the pub just across the street, but well within the agreed hour that Cho had demanded. Normally by now, he'd have been smirking with barely concealed mirth at the quality of the dirt he'd managed to dig up, but he just didn't have the strength for it tonight. Or the heart. Maybe it was what had happened to him and the resulting conversations with Viktor, or the worry that somehow this was connected to something bigger - he wasn't sure. He just couldn't shake the odd sense of unease he felt, and the way it chilled the edges of his bones, just barely there in the background but significant enough to make him notice.
He chose a seat by the fire, shucking off his coat and folding up his scarf to lay on the empty chair beside him. Ordering a butterbeer - warm, thank you very much - he sat back and idly pulled the sleeves of his jumper over calloused, inked-up fingers, staring at them as he waited. Maybe Savage would like this. Maybe it would be enough to distract him from the fact that Kevin's other leads were flimsy as fuck.
So he etched a plan in his head - break this story in the morning, and follow up on what he had on the Wizengamot by getting in deeper. Savage would get his stories even if Kevin had to break a few of his own bones to get them.
