"Think we all have plans about how it'll happen, but 9 times out of 10, the plans fall through and you just take what life throws at you. Doesn't make it any less great." He offered Oliver another reassuring smile, but it faltered at his next comment.
His eyebrows creased into a look of concern, and he started at his friend silent for a moment as he tried to pick the right words to respond.
"Uh... mate? It's not rude to ask if you helped create a life. It's not slapping her in the face and judging her... but you have every right to know. You, and whatever other bloke it could possibly be. Yeah, it's her body. And you're not asking to suddenly be in charge of it or anything in regards to how she decides to take care of herself, the treatment she receives and all of that. But in regards to simply knowing if that's your kid, that's your right, and that perception you have doesn't make any logical sense."
