It had been a long day for Cormac, and to be honest, he was only half looking at the prophet, scanning for mentions of his name. He had been on edge since he and Oliver had confronted their parents about their genetics that it would soon end up all over the papers. It didn’t help that his Ma had come clean to his Da’s family, and they were none too happy. His granddad had already owl’d him about the inheritance as the oldest McLaggen male… since he was no longer a legitimate McLaggen, and with Becca being female and Simon being adopted, none of them could claim family land.
When Cho came and sat in his lap, he forced himself not to think about it. He wrapped his arms around her carefully, and rested his chin on her shoulder as he took the beer from her. “You’re too good to me,” He said with a smile, taking a swig from his beer. “I’m more than ready, I feel like I haven’t played in ages though we have practice constantly.” He chuckled, “I’ll have you know that I’m a pretty great keeper, one of the best of the league. I can play in any circumstances.”
