Who: Ron and Bill Weasley What: Being brothers When: After Bill's journal, early the next day Where: Shell Cottage Rating: Low
It wasn't long after writing with Bill over the journals that Ron popped over to Shell Cottage without much warning that he was coming. Ron wasn't worried about interrupting anything, since Bill and Fleur had split, but even so, Shell Cottage technically belonged to the whole family even though Mum and Dad had gifted it to Bill for his wedding.
Ron did knock on the door before opening it, so he didn't scare Bill out of his wits, but he let himself into the cottage and looked around for his eldest brother. While Bill was nine years older, he and Ron were still fairly close as far as siblings went. Ron had always looked up to Bill in a slightly detached way. When Ron started school, Bill had already started a career; and he had been far too busy for a little kid like him. However, when he had time to come home, or when he was on breaks from school, Bill had taken the time to play with him and teach him things like quidditch.
One of Ron's favorite memories of all of his brothers was playing quidditch in the field outside their house. He even recalled a time when the Weasleys had invited all of their neighbors over for a pick up game, and it was Weasleys against non-Weasleys for one of the games. Ron smiled as he thought about that memory.
He called out for Bill; he couldn't hear him anywhere in the house, but Ron assumed he was here. The clock in the hall showed Ron and Bill's hand pointed at "Home". Ron frowned as he saw Mum and Percy's were pointing at "Lost". Ron choked back his emotions at the sight and turned to look further in the house for his brother.
"Bill?" Ron called and poked his head into the kitchen.
