"I don't want a war." Ron admitted softly. Everyone was geared up for a battle that they weren't ever going to be able to fight. There were too many on the Ministry's side. Every scenario he'd run in his head was one of death for all of them. Ron reached for Susan's hand and gave it a squeeze. "I don't want a war that will leave our children orphans. I don't want..." Ron shook his head. "I don't want to see that look on your face again." Ron was talking about the night when they found Draco. Susan's face had killed Ron as much as Draco's body had. Ron vowed that he'd never put that look on Susan's face if he could help it. And rushing into a battle that wasn't prepared for would be a death wish.
Ron thought for a moment before answering, "I think almost everyone thinks we will be going into war. That we will be battling for our lives and freedom, but I don't see that working. I just see that pushing the Ministry supporters away, and creating a bigger battle for us to face on another day. We're going to have to be really creative, and really patient with this." Ron took a deep breath and looked up at Susan to make sure he wasn't saying something stupid.
"I believe we're organizing to keep everyone in line, so we don't have any mishaps like we did with Katie. If everyone keeps and follows our rules we will be able to move as a unified front. We will be able to show the world that we can live within the boundaries of a civilized society. I think more than any battle, that's more important. We need to show the world we can join them and join them peacefully."
