Who: Lucius Malfoy and Invited Guests When: Thursday, July 3rd Where: Malfoy Manor What: Lucius sets his plans in motion over dinner Rating: TBD Warnings: TBD Status: IC/OOC - In Progress
One the surface, the guest list that evening may have appeared haphazardly thrown together. Those invited had very little in common, with one important exception. Each of them possessed a spark of deviousness. It was their desire to cross lines, to indulge in their wickedness that truly drew Lucius to all of them. He needed people like them to remain close, providing him counsel and support. It was becoming apparent to Lucius that such support could no longer be guaranteed by those he had once held dear. First, Draco had abandoned his family. His marriage, it appeared, was all but over. And perhaps the most important relationship in his life was starting to show cracks in its foundation.
Always one to create contingencies, Lucius had put together this little party. Leaving the decisions about food and drink to his staff, Lucius only troubled himself with the guests and the topic of conversation. Both, he knew, would prove vital to the evening's success.
Seated at the head of the table, naturally, Lucius was very mindful as to how his guests were placed at the table. Daphne sat to his right, and Proudfoot was on his left. The remainder of the guests were arranged just as carefully, the importance of the guests apparent by how close they were placed to the head of the table.
