This poor, poor girl. The more she spoke, the more Renée realized how misguided she truly was. It wasn't her fault though, considering how closely her family was tied with the Weasley clan. Really, she felt pity above everything else, and knew then that she was doing the right thing. Gabrielle needed help, she needed to see things the way they were, instead of through the lens of terrorists. And for a moment, Renée was thankful she hadn't fallen pray to such blatant lies and was happy she could be here to assist a fellow classmate. At first, she would hate her, that much was obvious and the brunette was no fool. She would feel betrayed and angry and scared, but once she realized the Ministry wasn't some horrible, backwards organization like she had been lead to believe, maybe could learn to be happy.
At the very least, she'd be safe. She'd have a roof over her head, and food, and companions. That had to be worth something..
"Gabrielle..." she whispered sympathetically, clutching her wand a bit tighter. "I am sorry to see dey 'ave done dis too you. Led you to believe such blatant lies. Truly.." Giving her an encouraging smile, she stepped a bit closer, her hands up in a peaceful gesture, but her wand still in full view, so the other girl didn't do anything stupid...
"Dennis Creevey killed 'arry, Gabby. And dey do not steal. Dey make sure children grow up in a safe, magical environment. So dey can learn the ways of dere people.
