Cassius smiled softly at the offer of whiskey. "That would be wonderful, sir." He said, and took the drink from Evan as it was offered.
"It would be a fantastic time to strike. I've had a couple thoughts recently in that regard, but wouldn't want to steal from your accomplishments of the moment." He took a small drink, "It's been surprisingly difficult to bounce back after my... injury."
Cassius hated to admit it, but the injury had put him very much out of touch with Lucius' inner circle. He'd have to come up with a really good plan to deserve a return to service.
"Which actually indirectly brings me to why I've come to you." He took a deep breath and rested his glass on the table so it wouldn't slip out of his hand.
"When I was indisposed, for lack of a better word, I had a lot of time to do a lot of thinking. And one thing I thought a lot about was my future. Of course, my future within Tinworth, but also, sir, with all due respect, my future with regards to a spouse."
Cassius paused here to gauge Evan's reaction; he hoped that if he just made the ask it would go over well enough.
"You see, sir. I found myself thinking of your daughter, especially after her own injury, and found myself thinking of our interactions since I've had the opportunity to get to know her through Gabrielle. Sir, I'd like to ask your permission to court your daughter, Nadia."
