Bill didn’t have an answer. Part of it was him reflecting on his own life after talking with his brother Charlie, and part of it was realizing just what was in front of him. Seeing her get dressed up, trying to encourage her, clicking just how great she is.
“I don’t have an answer for that.” Bill said, softly, “I’m a surprisingly dumb man, Hestia. But seeing you dressed up and just—you’re my best friend. And You’re amazing, and I’ve been reflecting on my life and lot, and you’re a constant in it.”
He sighed, stood and held his hands out to her. “Drink your water, we should get some sleep.”
