Even though Angelina knew that she was home, knew that she was safe, she still flinched and tried to step back from the quick movement that was Alicia wrapping her into a hug. Her first instinct was to fight back, to push her away from her and to pull her wand, and she had to fight that. Instead, after a long delay, Angelina put her arms around Alicia and grinned.
“Oh merlin, I barely even know.” Angelina said with a chuckle, shifting her weight a bit. “I got a note saying to be ready if something happened, and then people at Malfoy’s party started dropping and I just got a wand and fought back a bit. Helen helped us get through, take down the guards, Aurors were all over the place when we got to the other side, all of us we got out.” Merlin, Angelina was dirty and exhausted.
“I should have written before coming. I’m sorry, I just didn’t want to wake up Mason, and I didn’t know where else exactly that I should go.”
